Ace Rent a car at Denver Airport

Cons: WAY TOO EXPENSIVE AND MORE EXPENSIVE THAN MY ORIGINAL SIGNUP

Pros: Nothing

Cons: Spending 1.5 hours standing in line to pick up a car that I pre-booked and paid for is absolute insanity. Even after "checking in" it still took at least 20 more minutes waiting while "the car is being washed." At the return, we had to wait about 30 minutes for a ride to the airport. Never again.

Pros: Speedy return and checkout.

Cons: The friendly check-in agent suggested I opt for the return fuel charge because the rate was competitive with local rates. But the fuel charge rate on the contract was about triple the local rate. Glad I didn't take that option.

Cons: Pricing is kind of not as advertised - take that into account. You also can't take cars out of state - guy in front of me was surprised.

Cons: Didn't rent a car from Ace.

Pros: The extra effort during closing to ensure I received my car.

Cons: Drop-off location was not clearly indicated.

Pros: Ace made the car rental process easy. The Agent we had when picking up the vehicle was awesome!! The only issue and a warning to others, if you need 4 wheel drive you will have to upgrade while you there in person it is not a website option. So although we thought our rental was set and fully paid for we ended up paying $200 more to get the 4wd we needed (this was not the $200 security fee, that was paid separate and refunded per the contract).

Cons: The Shuttle Service from the Airport to Rental Facility is a long wait. Other companies ran their shuttles 3 - 4 times over before one shuttle trip was donee by Ace.

Pros: Horrible, didn’t get a confirmation email. Had to rent a ridiculously overpriced vehicle somewhere else once we arrived for vacation because we were desperate.

Cons: we were told upon signing up that the price would be $192. We prepaid that and upon picking up the car we were charged another $639. with a refund coming back within 5 days of around $150. We will never use you again and we will definitely tell our family and friends. ALL COSTS SHOULD BE UP FRONT.

Cons: Slow service. Personnel are not friendly, don't seem interested in doing their jobs. Slow moving with long line at pick up. Toll road fee structure makes no sense.

Pros: It took over an hour to get setup with a car. The website said it was onsite yet it was 15 minutes away. Ace representative was dismissive of what we thought we were renting when we placed the reservation and we had to pay extra to get what it was we actually thought we were getting which was an AWD vehicle.

Cons: Drop off was extremely easy.

Cons: I was scammed and if I knew the total cost of renting the car would amount to over $400 including the $100 I paid up front, I would not have rented the car. I have rented from Hertz, Avis, and Alamo and none of these companies have ever scammed me like this. I will be giving those companies my business and will never return to Ace. I will also be sure to warn anyone I know about this company.

Cons: I wasn't given accurate information when I picked up my car: I was told I NEEDED a toll pass, even when I said I didn't need one last time, they told me I needed one otherwise I would be charged all of these extra fees. When I got to my families, they told me I did NOT need a toll pass, that not using a toll road is only an extra 5-10 minutes. I also pre-purchases up to a half tank of gas, and was told that I would only be charged for what it took to fill the vehicle upon return...

Pros: I came into ACE Rent a Car with a $265 voucher from Discover Cars, which was totally ignored, rendering Discover Cars a useless and mendacious and misleading operation.

Cons: ACE Rent a Car padded my rental agreement in their favor by charging me $55.96 for a Colorado Fastrack Pass for 4 days after I clearly told the agent I didn’t want or need a Fastrack Pass. I drove a total of 246 miles from Denver Airport to Vail and back and had NO USE for the pass. The agent knew my itinerary and my wishes and charged me anyway. You could say it’s my fault for signing the rental agreement without checking for the unnecessary charge, which I did. Still, a sad rip-off.

Pros: The check in line was short but the time with the agent was too long. Also felt like he was nickel and diming us.

Cons: Car was worn and dirty. Windshield cracked. Waited too long for bus driver to take us to airport. He was just standing there leaning against the wall.... for about 15 mins when we were in a hurry.

Cons: They told me I needed full coverage insurance for 120$ then charged me 356$ on my card in which I have disputed. I had insurance paid through Discover Cars but was told that wasn’t good enough.

Pros: Overall, great experience. Shuttle service to pick up car seemed to take longer than expected.

Pros: It took 2.5 hours waiting in line to get a car. It average 20 minutes per person for them to do their paperwork. With a blaring TV over the waiting line. It was hell, and I will never rent from Ace again.

Cons: They charged me for insurance after I specifically asked to remove it. Their manager refused to speak with me. They charged me over $400 over what the original price was supposed to be. They exhibited unethical business practice bordering on fraud.

Pros: The ACE agent politely explained to me that she could not complete my rental because I was traveling out of the state of Colorado!

Cons: The ACE agent located a nearby Car Rental that could fulfill my request.

Cons: I was given a vehicle through Ace, who forced me to sign a damage claim for hail damage at drop-off. They showed me spots they claimed were small dents, although even after they showed me the areas, I did not see any damage. They would not take me to the airport until after I signed a damage claim, despite not seeing any damage. What they claimed were small dents were very likely there before I rented the car, because it was too small for me to even notice, even in the "after" pictures.

Pros: The car was nice and clean when we got it. And the unlimited miles was nice.

Cons: Took forever to get the car, line moved SO slowly. The agent we had was kind of rude and didn’t even answer my questions correctly/basically dismissed me. I had to email the office to get the answer I needed later since the agent was unhelpful.

Pros: This is the worst rental company I have ever used. Bait and switch on every level. One example: pre-paid for gas, was assured before leaving with the car that I didn't have to fill the tank when returning the car so I didn't. Then they charged me $9 per gallon to fill the tank despite having pre-paid for fuel. Do NOT believe the prices quoted online. Do NOT rent from this car if you plan to travel anywhere out of state. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Never again. Worst rental experience ever, by far.

Pros: Before we drove off the lot, the attendant noticed that one tire seemed low. They immediately switched us to another vehicle and within minutes we were on our way.

Cons: There always seem to be more forms and extra little state and local fees and taxes tacked on than you were expecting, but that seems to be the norm for most transactions like airline tickets, etc.

Cons: Hard up sell on the toll pass with wrong information provided by the agent.

The use of "SUV" language to mislead people into thinking that they are getting a mountain worthy vehicle.The upgrade cost for a safe vehicle cost an additional $36/day. This is a systemic issue and am talking to others that have had a similar problem. Looks like a class action law suite in the making. We're collecting info on rental agencies that using this tactic to upcharge. I'll make sure to hang onto my receipt for future compensation.

He then said that he would give us a 4WD and stated several times that he will give us a DISCOUNT and said the total price for the car will be $671 WITH THE DISCOUNT. Won’t fit mor

Pros: Fernando went above and beyond for the level of customer service - He called me and delivered to me at the Airport the keys to my personal vehicle which were left in my rental vehicle - Outstanding job!!!

Cons: I walked in line for 20 minutes and there were only 2 people in front of me. And then I couldn’t even rent the car because as their rep stated, they are one of the only rental companies at Denver international that don’t allow their cars out of state.

Pros: I didn’t not enjoy the service of Ace Rental Car. Since when do you rent a car near a national airport that can cannot take it out of state? Only to then try and request a refund or some assign what options there are and get no help nor money back.

Cons: The cars looked old. The car we requested was not available because they never carried that model. They did not offer a toll package. I contacted them once I realized how many toll booths were in Denver. Read the fine print and it states they can charge as high as $50 service charge per toll on top of the regular toll fee. When I contacted them they set me up with a toll package of an additional $70+. I had to take it since I did not know how many tolls we would be using.

Pros: Only the person checking the car back in at drop off was quick and friendly.

Cons: Horrible service at the pick up counter - tried to tell me sell me on multiple upgrades and extra costs. When I declined, they were extremely rude and unprofessional. They also charged me for being 15 minutes early. I asked the person checking out the car to document existing scratches and they wouldn't do it.
