Cons: I booked through Discover Cars and was assigned Italy Car Rent. The price was good, slightly lower than others. I chose full coverage insurance from the website, but at pickup in Trapani they told me it wouldn’t cover damages unless I had a CID form. They pushed me to buy their insurance for €150 — the same as the rental cost. When I refused, they gave me a brand-new, scratch-free car. Needless to say, I won’t book with them again.

Cons: Slow at the rental desk. Car had over 20 defects listed. Water in washer bottle ran out after first use. Rear window dirty on the inside, unable to see out of it with the sun shining on it.

Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: € 1650.00), Theft Protection, Third Party Liability (TPL), Airport surcharge, Road tax, Free modifications, State Tax.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 22 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 26.
There is no maximum age.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.
The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.
A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
In addition to the regular driver license, an International Driving Permit is also mandatory if the customer is not a resident of the following country(ies): United Kingdom, EU.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if it is accompanied by a regular driver's license, is issued by an official authority or government-authorized organization, and is in physical (not digital) form.

The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.

The maximum rental period per agreement is 29 days. If the renter would like to extend the rental period, renter should return to the car hire office at the end of the rental period to sign a new agreement.
