Pros: Quick return.

Cons: Joined a line to collect keys at on-airport desk and waited 1 hour and 45 minutes before walking away with the keys. One person was doing his best in dealing with the long line. The airport was not particularly busy as none of the other car rental desks had long lines waiting. I did contact Autovia but was told that the long wait was because they are such a popular provider. A terrible start to our holiday.

Pros: Good car. Efficient desk.

Cons: They charged 15 euros to have the car cleaned, explaining this was a condition of renting via Discover Cars/ online platform. They also tried to sell extra insurance (their own), explaining that the insurance I purchased through Discover Cars was inadequate as in the event of an accident/theft, payment would be required up front in full and then I ‘would have to try to recover it from the insurer’. And that, in addition, the excess payable/ amount insured was poor compared to their own.

Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: € 1760.00), Theft Protection, Roadside Assistance (in the country of pick-up), Snow chains, Third Party Liability (TPL), Airport surcharge, Premium Location fee, Road tax, Environmental charge, Free modifications, State Tax.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 19 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 25.

There is no maximum age.
A senior driver fee applies to drivers over the age of 75.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

Driver licenses will be accepted if issued in the following country(ies): EU.

Otherwise, the renter must provide an International Driver Permit (IDP).
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if it is accompanied by a regular driver's license, is issued by an official authority or government-authorized organization, and is in physical (not digital) form.
Only physical driver's licenses are accepted (not digital versions).

Renters from the following country(ies): Italy must provide the following documents: proof of home address (e.g. Utility bill) in order to collect the car.

Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a certain amount of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Business hours
Service outside of business hours is available by request and for an additional charge.

The supplier will hold the vehicle for 2 hours after your scheduled pick-up time as long as it is within their normal business hours. After this time, your booking may be canceled without refund.
