Pros: Good car, in fact comparable to all other company

Cons: At the time of vehicle pickup at CDG, the desk agent repeatedly stated that I was not insured because I had booked through a third-party company. I was told, in a very insistent manner, that without purchasing additional insurance I could be held fully liable for the full replacement value of the vehicle. This information was presented as non-negotiable and left little room for clarification or verification. I just sent a formal complain and reimbursement request.

Cons: I had a reservation for 10 days. Unfortunately, the car that was reserved was an electric car which wasn’t going to work for me. The reservation was for approximately $250. Pros: They've had great, appropriate cars for me. Firstly a 9 seater van and then the Citroen.

Cons: Only drama was with this car pick up. 1.5 hours at CDG waiting ina queue. This was time that we planned for travelling towards Italy which meant we ended up driving in the dark at 10.00pm at night. The attendant wanted me to wait another 30 minutes for the car to be brought over from another part of the airport. When I said I was too tired to wait and we had already lost travelling time and we had just come from Amsterdam by train, she took pity on us and upgraded me to a car already there.

The Europcar assured us this extra is for the security purposes, but after we renturned the car (Europcar full insurance package), we did not received it. I would like to talk to one of your representatives please, to find solution. It can be seen from the receipt, original payment at the desk should be 426,29, but on site we also requested additional insurance. So the total receipt should be 583, 79 and not 683, 79 (with additional 100).

Pros: Car rental agent offered full insurance bundled with GPS navigation (inbuild). The GOS worked for day one, from the nest day there was no connectivity. We approached Eurpecar at Le Harve, they said that GPS was not part of the agreement. I was mislead to believe the contrary.

Rate includes
Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: € 2000.00), Theft Protection, Third Party Liability (TPL), Vehicle registration fee, Free modifications.
Rate excludes
Many highways in France are tolled using only electronic means.
An E-Toll is offered in order to avoid violation fees.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 18 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 26.

There is no maximum age.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

For vehicles in groups Compact, Standard, Luxury, Intermediate, Fullsize, Compact Elite a driver license valid for at least 3 years is required.
For vehicles in groups Premium a driver license valid for at least 5 years is required.

A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
In addition to the regular driver license, an International Driving Permit is also mandatory if the driver license is written in a language other than that of the renting country and/or in characters that cannot be read in the renting country. Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if it is accompanied by a regular driver's license, is issued by an official authority or government-authorized organization, and is in physical (not digital) form.

In order to pick up the car, the following documents are required: valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, Passport or ID card, booking voucher, proof of home address (e.g. Utility bill), that is valid for at least 3 months before the pick up date. A digital driver's license will not be accepted — you must bring your physical driving license.
Deposit and deductible policy

Payment policy
At time of pick up, customers will be required to pay the amount of the rental and a deposit.
The following payment methods are accepted: Diners, Debit cards, MasterCard credit card, VISA credit card, American Express credit card.
It is possible to pay and leave the deposit only with the following payment methods: Diners, MasterCard credit card, VISA credit card, American Express credit card.
Cash, Prepaid cards is/are not accepted.

The main driver must provide a physical payment card in their name with enough funds to cover the deposit to pick up the car. The rental company will neither accept virtual credit cards (e.g., GooglePay or ApplePay) nor someone else’s card (including family members).
Cross-border policy
Cross border rentals are allowed only upon previous request.
Additional charges will be applied in case the car is crossing state or region borders.
Details are available from the car rental company's reservation office.

Crossing country borders is allowed to the following countries: Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France - Corsica, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain - Balearic Islands, Spain-Canary Islands, Spain-Mainland, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom.
In the event that Cross Border & Territorial Restrictions are violated, all protections lose their validity.
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: GPS Navigation system, Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age), Snow chains.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.

Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Diesel vehicles are available only by request upon arrival.
Diesel vehicles are available for an additional charge.
Electric vehicles must be returned with the same battery charge they had when picked up to avoid additional charges (on a per kWh basis). An additional admin fee will be charged if a vehicle is returned with less than 80 % battery charge remaining.
Additional information
By law, winter tires are mandatory on all roads from 01.11 to 31.03 in the following regions: Ain, Allier, Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, Hautes-Alpes, Alpes-Maritimes, Ardeche, Ariege, Aude, Aveyron, Cantal, Doubs, Drome, Haute-Garonne, Isere, Jura, Loire, Haute-Loire, Lozere, Moselle, Puy-de-Dome, Pyrénées-Atlantiques, Hautes-Pyrénées, Pyrénées-Orientales, Bas-Rhin, Haut-Rhin, Rhone, Haute-Saone, Savoie, Haute-Savoie, Tarn, Var, Vaucluse, Vosges, Territoire de Belfort.
During the winter season, snow chains are mandatory on roads in mountainous areas that are marked by a road sign.
Snow chains are recommended in icy/snowy conditions, especially when traveling in mountainous areas.
Business hours
Service outside of business hours is available by previous request at airport locations.
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 0 minutes.
