Drive on Holidays
Inviting you on a trip with its name, Drive on Holidays is a car rental business operating in Portugal based in the capital Lisbon. The company was founded in 2011 and eventually became one of the largest car rental companies in Portugal having had about 3,300 vehicles in 2022.
Drive on Holidays has offices near all the country’s major airports including on Madeira and in the Azores Islands. The company was acquired by the Brazilian car rental company Movida in 2022 at a value of €66 million. Soon after, Drive on Holidays changed its logo to match the color of Movida’s. The purchase is Movida’s first move to make headway into the European car rental market.
Drive on Holidays is not only one of the biggest car rental companies in Portugal, it’s also one of the highest-rated by our customers. It won our Excellent Car Rental Service Award in both 2023 and 2024 for its locations at Faro Airport, Lisbon Airport, Porto Airport, and Ponta Delgada Airport.
