Drivalia in Lisbon (Downtown)

Pros: Kind, easy, friendly.

Cons: Only one small criticism: the wiper fluid seemed to be empty. I was able to use it for the back wipers but not the front wipers. But that is small. Overall the experience was very good.

Pros: Great and fast service, clean car, good communication and kindness of the employees.

Cons: Not a complaint but definitly a recommendation for next time. I was clear that I had never used an electric car before. I expecting charging stations to work like regular fuel, use a credit card. I found out that I needed an app and it only worked sometimes at some charging stations, this was not a fun experience. I wish Drivalia could have informed me or provided a card with the car that I could have paid for, something to make charging way easier than the very difficult time I had.

Pros: Picking up was a pleasure But the agent didn’t realize that I was dropping the car off in Porto and gave me a drop off address in Lisbon

Cons: When I brought the car back to the Porto location Representative was rude, nasty threatened me. I became very frightened that he was going to get physically aggressive. His behavior and conduct need to be reported. The Brokers at Discover car couldn’t be more accommodating and nice.

Cons: Confusion over insurance required/advised. Agents were rushed at pick up but cordial.

Cons: Waiting times during pick-up tend to be high - which is not related to the great attentive service people, but of being understaffed for the amount of clients who booked. It is more a question of managing and planning capacities during peak times

Cons: The place closed at 18h and I booked to deliver until 18h, but they made me think the place closed at 17h so I was tricked to deliver it sooner

Cons: Pick up location was closed. We booked to pickup in downtown Lisbon on a certain day but it was closed due to a holiday. We had to phone emergency number and then waited about 40 minutes for the staff to show up and then additional time to have car cleaned. Once we got going everything was fine.

Cons: Wouldn t accept a credit from you guys ( from a cancelation a fay before) Wouldn t respond promptly to enquiries. Discrepancy and clarity in insurance provided. Didnt respect return time. We didnt even know the return location, said 11pm was our return time, but place closed at 8 pm, never received pur signed contract with written proof of insurance. We spent 30euros in cab fares and 1 hour in the phone just to be able to bring car back.

Pros: It was very easy to find the rental office in Lisbon and to pick up the car. The car was almost brand-new, was extremely clean, and was exactly what we had reserved.

Pros: Check in and out was smooth and reps very friendly.

Cons: While not specifically a Drivalia issue, I selected a "Compact Elite" (A3 or similar) and got a VW Golf (base model - nothing "elite" about it)...this is not similar to an A3. Having said that, it was a brand new Golf (800 km) and very competent, so not a huge deal. The one thing it didn't have was a backup camera (which I realize now I have grown very used to)...a compact elite car would have had one. Overall though, I was very satisfied with my Drivalia experience.

Cons: We booked Audi A6 Avant because we have 4 big luggage and 4 carry on but got a small Volkswagen even it’s good but not the same size as Audi A6

Pros: Excellent service, both at pickup and return. Got a brand new car, everything was perfect. All costs clearly explained and dealth with. Very recommended.

Pros: Drivalia’s 24 hour number does not have live help 24 hours a day. Drivalia is not open early for Porto flights to allow you to drop off your car. Their drop off is a distance away from the Porto airport.

Pros: Reasonable and inclusive of basic and mandatory insurance

Cons: The pickup office is a Bit out of the way but worth the cab/uber trip

Cons: There was no mention of cross border charges until we were about to drive out. Then they told us we must pay to go to Spain. We looked at the contract it was ambiguous. They took over 30 minutes to de ide we needed to pay euro 200 to go to Spain. 80% of total rental cost. Again this was not mentioned at any point anywhere and is clearly stupid and abusive

Pros: The rental agents were resposive and helpful.

Cons: the billing department and customer service line was not very helpful. I had an incident with the car and I caused damage which I paid for. I have had ongoing trouble getting a correct fully itemized invoice to submit to my insurance.

Pros: The staff knew we were coming. Had the contract and car ready. The return process was just as organized and easy.

Cons: Everything was great. Keep up the good work.

Pros: Very clean new model car with low kms.

Cons: Huge $$$ drop off fee to return car to different location. Which was the 2nd largest city airport in Portugal.

Cons: The time spent to pick ip the car was more or less 1h. However this was because the car we were supposed to get got accidented. They upgraded us and offered us another car which was great.

Cons: I ordered a luxurious BMW 5 Series car, and when I arrived at the company to pick up the car, they didn't have it and I had to take a smaller car, which was in stock at that moment. I am used to driving in my country in a large 5 series car and the driving experience on the trip was average.

Cons: The office in Lisbon was a bit chaotic and it took us an hour to get out of the office. By then it was rush hour and it took us over an hour to leave town. We would have liked some tips on getting out of town and a recommendation to leave earlier in the day. It was quite stressful.

Cons: It's a bit weird to rent out a car that has 'low tire pressure' issue all the time.

Cons: Their first offered/delivered car was totally broken! It couldn't go up the steeps and cylinders were unexpectedly shutdown! Also, there was a scraping noise from steering when driving that Nisan with low mileage of 5Km only! But then Sadorent changed and upgraded my car (at my cost) and delivered a super mint BMW, that I enjoyed for the next 4 days in Portugal!
