Car was also very dirty on the inside and had huge stain marks on the back seats. Will not be using their services again.

Cons: The staff were pushy to sell you extras and resorted to extremes to scare you into a sale. The car had 5 cracks in the windshield which is not only unsafe but a claim against the renter waiting to happen as a pot hole could cause the whole thing to shatter. Cracks are so cheap to fix there is no excuse. Our headlight went and took half a day to replace the car. The new car was worse with an engine that misfired (most likely faulty spark plugs) again a cheap fix but they don’t care.

I just wanted a replacement that I could drive comfortably. I have used bargain many times before so very shocked at this experience!

He directed me to service station about 1 km away which was challenging as we needed to get shuttle to airport and would miss flight if we had to do that. I pleaded with manager for about 5 minutes and he finally agreed when I told him we may need go in his carpark.

Will NEVER use you again.

When anyone complained or even raised the issue of the long wait time we were threatened with cancellation of the hire car. The car was not clean- we found a dead cockroach. An RACQ mechanic was sent out to assist and got the car going for the rest of the rental period, but I was very nervous about it breaking down again, which really took the shine off my trip. I collected taxi receipts and handed them over when I returned the car, but it remains to be seen whether the costs will be refunded to me… I certainly hope so!

Cons: There were three main issues with the car. First, the light inside the car was not working. We had to use mobile phones at night inside the car. Second, the tire pressure symbol was always on for some reason. I checked the tire pressure in a servo and kept an eye the whole journey. But not sure what happened. Third, last day of the trip, we had issues locking the car. Not sure what happened. I checked if the doors were blocked or something but could not find out the problem.

Pros: They accommate all our needs. Including our last-minute requests. The had our best interests in mind the entire time. Incredibly friendly service, including the shuttle bus driver and the reception desk during pick up and drop off.

My husband, however, said he felt harassed at the depot on pick up to make a quick decision about liability insurance due to the large queue of customers also waiting. If I had been there at the depot on pick up, I would have been able to clarify our payments. Instead, he paid for Bargain Car Rentals liability cover and now we are significantly out of pocket, ironic as we went with Discover Cars as you were cheaper.

Cons: High volume at the airport + only 1 shuttle meant confusion and frustration and big queues for waiting customers, us included. Bargain Rental Cars made a quick decision to transport only 1 member of each family to their depot so only my husband went. He then had to backtrack to the airport to pick up the rest of us and we had to navigate a lot of traffic and other passengers waiting to be picked up. Bargain Car Rentals should better plan their shuttle service as they know numbers in advance.

Cons: However the lady that assisted us when returning the car took a few minutes to acknowledge us and assumed we were picking up a car although I put the keys on the counter and waited for her to even look at us.

Pros: The only recommendation I can give is that you should improve the insurance excess. The excess I had was $5,000. Fortunately for me I didn’t have any accidents but for someone it could be a disaster. Make the insurance more affordable.

Cons: I got the wrong car. Booked an intermediate, got LDV D90 (never used before). The car has very poor pick up on upslopes. It has lots of electronics but poor mechanicals. No user manual. I could not even figure out how to do cruise control. The foot mat is crap it crumpled and prevented me from using pedals properly on high speed roads in the dark..the suspension is not very good. Feels like driving a Mack on the first day; takes long to get used to it...

Cons: Pick up by shuttle was difficult as didn’t get a message to say they received our request for pick up, no human interaction for pick up request, the vehicle was not what I wanted , awful to drive and dangerous quirks , as in took seatbelt off to reach back into back seat while waiting at lights and it stopped me from being able to drive once light went green

Cons: Slow response via discover cars in my enquiries. Did not receive a car that I had expected to altho it did mention equivalent. However upon arrival at the rental place, no Hyundai cars were observed at all. Same when dropping off.
