Alpha car hire at Gold Coast Airport

Pros: Its the first hire company ever to give me the actual car i requested and not something random

Pros: Friendly and efficient

Cons: The car was a bit old and tired.

Pros: Extremely helpful agents when arranging a late pick up due to unforeseen flight delays, seamless pickup and dropoff. Clean car and shuttle to collect vehicle was there promptly.

Pros: The staff very friendly and helpful and focus on your needs despite and check in and out was quick and easy. I will return again

Pros: Quick pick up and drop off

Cons: Car digital screen not working so no cameras but it was a commercial Val

Pros: Attendants and check in process was easy and fast

Pros: Car drove well. Good price

Cons: Slow pick up

Pros: A quick check in and helpful when I required it

Cons: Please make aware to buyers all of the excess option in advance.

Cons: Angry customers! Perhaps clearly explaining the insurance bond details when people book would help.

Pros: Fast and friendly

Cons: We got scammed by DiscoverCars by decieving us.

Cons: Terms of standard insurance $5k even if not your fault seems ridiculous

Pros: Vehicle is due for scheduled service

Pros: everything i’ve and easy

Cons: nothing

Pros: Collection, return all were good. Value for money except the after sales service - rude and aggressive.

Cons: The car was returned on the day, about half an hour before the drop off time. Due to Alpha getting their systems wrong, they were aggressive to my emergency contact demanding the car is returned. Aggressive to me when I called too. Please check your recorded calls. VERY UNHAPPY EXPERIENCE to be told I did not return the car. Customer Service 0/10. Happy to expand on this if you call me.

Pros: Shuttle service from / to airport was good. Had to wait about 20 minutes for shuttle when we dropped the car off, not unreasonable but be aware of delay and allow for flight. Pleasant staff.

Cons: A couple of concerns, an obvious chip in the windscreen was a worry in case it spread (it did have tape or similar on it possibly which would prevent this. And, we got the service overdue / oil change required warning on dash when we picked it up. We were told that it had been serviced just the warning had not been reset, a bit of concern in case it went to limp mode, (it didn't). Also pressure to change our purchased insurance to Alphas own insurance which was dearer.

Pros: Everything was fantastic from the booking to picking up the car and returning it

Cons: N/A

Pros: very easy pick up and drop off. friendly staff. no issues with car and was in immaculate condition

Pros: Fantastic service second time using this company and will definitely use again.

Cons: I was told by Alpha car hire that if i have an accident i will be paying $5000 and my card was used to block $1000 as security deposit when i have taken full protection from discover cars. Whats the point of full protection if you still dont have peace if mind.

Pros: The man who drove the purple shuttle bus was super friendly and entertaining and made everyone feel welcome. The young South American lady was very helpful and represented good customer service

Cons: We had to return the original car after a few hours because the engine light came on, and they asked us to fill the tank. We discovered that the tank had not been filled to the top by the previous renter. So we ended up paying for extra fuel and Alpha argued with us about this which made the experience very unpleasant. Both times we were in the office, there were arguments with other clients and the office staff were overheard calling one of the clients a twat behind their back

Pros: Ripped off by Alpha having to pay 100% more for the hire cost because of 'no insurance' when we HAD INSURANCE!

Cons: NOTHING

Pros: The free upgrade

Cons: I don’t like how they take out $1000 bond when you checkin. The other option was to lower your bond and insurance but cost an extra $42/day. Plus they said they closed at 9pm and we had to find our own way to the depot by uber and when we got there at 8:42pm, they were still there when they could have easily picked us up.

Pros: Good value for money provider may not have known about issue

Cons: Car flooding with water

Pros: Lots of affordable and reliable cars available

Pros: Car was rent a bomb quality, and probably worse.

Cons: Car wasn't ready, had a long wait which made us miss another booking, car was rubbish, had warning light pop up all the time and staff were rude - not a good start to our holiday at all.

Pros: Alpha was fast an efficient. I wasn't sure how the offsite airport system would work. It was so seemless.

Cons: The $1000 bond is ridiculous. I have already paid the amount for the hire and agreed to the terms and conditions and got the additional insurance cover. I shouldn't have to layout a $1000. I mean not everyone has that available. I couldn't afford some of my planned holiday events and this wasn't really clear on booking. The windscreen wipers on the car were awful as well. I think perhaps its just that model of car though.

Pros: The service I received when interacting with the people that assisted me was exceptional and the type of car I got was better than what I had booked.

Cons: The baby car seat was a bit old and had no extra padding for my 2year old. Also, the straps had no shoulder padding.

Pros: Great service staff very helpful great rares

Pros: Plz as u can make discounts for us We love ur service

Cons: Was no dance in the office

Pros: Price and condition of car

Cons: Wait for drop off to airport

Pros: Online check-in was handy

Pros: Bond was showing $500 , was asked to pay $1000. They charged $10 per day for booster where as it ahowed as standard included when booked at discover site.

Pros: Friendly and helpful

Cons: All good

Pros: Helpful staff

Cons: Car was offsite at airport Gold Coast

Pros: All in general

Pros: Fast and to the point to check out the car

Cons: They were being dodgey when I dropped it off, they all begin speaking Portuguese so that customers don't understand what they are saying, tried to accuse me of a dent that was already there but wasn't so sure when I told them I had proof and tank was full but not to what they liked even though it was the same level as when I picked it up.

Pros: Pick up and drop off process was quick.

Pros: Didn’t have the car I booked, offered me one that was not suitable, but after explaining my situation found me an upgraded car that met my needs

Cons: Nil

Cons: Problem with booking bus, language barrier she did not seem to understand

Pros: When we arrived the tyres pressure was low and the screen had a warning light showing this. We had to return to get this fixed - then we discovered the usb port was broken and we could not charge our mobiles for the longer drives preventing us from using our maps.

Cons: We tried to call on the day of return to extend the return time by two hours and could not get through the phone just kept going through the various menus.

Pros: Terrible experience

Pros: Great Experience – Reliable Service and Excellent Support I had a very positive experience with this rental car company and would definitely use their services again. From the beginning, the customer service was outstanding. The team was friendly, professional, and responsive. I was assisted by an experienced staff member who took the time to answer all of my questions clearly and patiently, which made the process smooth and stress-free. The vehicle I received was clean, in excellent conditio

Cons: There is a third-party INSURANCE company called a discovercars.com. That is an option to use for the INSURANCE. discovercars.com should not be connected to this company.

Pros: The shuttle drivers were friendly and helpful

Cons: Their lack of: communication (I sent 6 emails and got zero replies) support: my suitcase was left at the depot; they showed zero interest; outdoor lighting at depot (hence my suitcase was left behind-I had anticipated that their staff member who raced ahead of me with the car keys, had loaded it into the car; lack of hygiene (toilet is manky)

Pros: Prompt & efficient

Cons: Raining at pickup

Pros: They were super friendly and easy to deal with

Pros: Profesional organisation with car hire made easy

Cons: All good

Pros: The people were ok

Cons: You should of deliver a new car to break down place

Pros: car quality , and the service

Cons: Well i wish they check how full the car is first before giving out as my full meter dropped 5ks into my trip and that's very unusual...so not happy with that

Pros: Car was clean.

Cons: Would not choose again. The sales assistant was extremely unhelpful. Abrupt in his dealings. Also upon request for ANY other car that wasn’t an MG brand car, he was unwilling to even look. I have hired cars from other companies prior - this was a poor experience. Also had to wait almost 40minutes for airport drop off though there was no one else there at 730pm when my flight was at 9:15pm and I arrived there by 7pm.

Pros: Value for money, range of fleet, friendly and helpful drivers.

Cons: Nothing

Pros: A reliable car and friendly staff

Cons: Foreign staff can’t understand

Pros: Fast and professional

Cons: All was good

Pros: Pick up and drop off at airport

Pros: Quick pick up and drop from airport

Cons: They didn't tell me that I would get MG rather than Hyundai that I have booked Once they charge me the money only after they disclose the replacement car. Worse there was no Android auto as well as indicators were on left side, its bit difficult to use to a different car in a remote city

Pros: Very friendly staff, no hassle car rental

Pros: agents are very helpful

Cons: The condition of the car is not as good as expected

Pros: Extremely helpful

Cons: Nothing

Pros: The service is relatively efficient, however breaks down when there is a queue of more than 3 people

Cons: It's not particularly friendly, the check innis aggressive, the excess is unnecessarily high, the cars are in very poor condition.

Pros: The team on the phone is very rude

Cons: Lots of hidd no fees, be careful and read fine print carefully. Thy start with a cheap quote then add up fees after. If same fees will pay to other rental companies that you can pick up your car from. airport, so what is the benefit of get transfered to and from airport.

Pros: Very friendly service, quick pick up from the airport, fast service both when picking up and dropping off the car

Cons: Honestly, difficult to find anything. As this was my first time with Alpha - maybe next time 😄

Pros: Affordable

Cons: Slightly far from the airport but it’s alright. Staff are slow and wait times are high.

Pros: Alpha where Amazing, picking the car up, changing the car and drop off of the car.

Cons: Rented a SUV but got a mini van but alpha happily replaced the car when 1 was available

Pros: Polite and professional

Cons: Na

Pros: Efficiency of services. Everyone seemed ready and prepared for the clients. No surprises. Also everyone was friendly and helpful. The email about where to go in the Gold Coast was helpful too!

Cons: Perhaps improve the process of checking the vehicle at pick up to ensure the client is comfortable before heading off.

Pros: Friendly easy to use

Cons: When we arrived we added myself as an extra driver $50 but when it came time for me to drive my husband who is 6ft was unable to sit in the passengers side as he was too tall. No one mentioned there was a high restriction in the MG for the passenger when this was mentioned at drop off no one was really that interested

Pros: Not the people, but the price and car were a slay

Pros: value for money, top cars, clean cars

Pros: your shuttle bus drivers two and from airport to alpha depo in tweed heads were vary pleasant and helpful and gives good impression for company

Cons: Not at all

Pros: Alpha car gave us a very easy and best experience. The process was easy and quick. They also provide pick up and drop offs from airport free of cost. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend them.

Pros: Good price, cheaper price often means companies that rip you off for silly reasons, but not with this mob. I would recommend them anytime.

Pros: Very smooth and easy-drop off to airport in taxi was well organised and stress free

Cons: No minus points from me

Pros: Easy Pick up Shuttle and Dropoff to airport

Cons: Easy To Deal with, However the car we got was not same but similar model. Also the Touch screen on car audio system was not workin which was not letting our smat phone connect to car, , We were asked go back and change the car next day we had to Top up the Fuel for that even tough we only use to go to hotel had to come back to return the car. There was not much option to upgrade car either. but finally we were able to change the car and had no issues after that

Pros: Easy rental. Car is in pristine condition. We hired a Hyundai i30 but for the love of me, couldn’t figure out Maps on the nav system. We had to use carplay or android so we can use Maps which Takes up battery on mobile when we’re out and about. Otherwise no issues with the car and Alpha.

Pros: Very easy and swift

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Friendly staff and very much reasonable prices compared to other providers.

Pros: Car was good.

Cons: It was difficult to discuss the fee of $59.08 charged to me as a customer by Discover Cars. The woman from Alpha I spoke to initially listened, but she appeared to grow frustrated with my insistence that the charge of $59.08 from Discover Cars was opaque and excessive. I told her that the charge reflected poorly on Alpha because there is a nexus between Alpha and Discover Cars. She did not appear persuaded by my argument.

Pros: The staff especially Doug the minibus driver. Lovely man
