Cons: When I phoned to Katowice airport - ACE rent a car , the automated instructions to choose the city of Katowice, were in polish and I was not able to understand. It took me over than 30 minutes to find a telephone number of ACE Katowice Airport in order to arrange a meeting.

Cons: Misleading information about car sizes! I ordered medium size and was delivered Toyota Yaris Cross. It is small car on steroids!! 3 adults on a back seat was a nightmare! ACE refused to swap it for a bigger one at a pick up!

Pros: the car was ok

Cons: They charged me 45 euros for crossing a border, and they didn’t allow me to cross another border, so I had to rent another car and leave the first one standing for three days. This caused me very heavy expenses. It is truly disappointing. I would not have rented from them if this had been clearly stated upfront and not hidden in small, unclear print in the voucher I received after the purchase. Outrageous!!

But when I returned back to the airport to pick up my family I had to pay the airport's parking fee. 2. The full coverage insurance for the car was more expensive then the price of the rent. Cons: It is not stated anywhere that the agency is located outside the airport area. Agent asked for arrival time yet i had to wait 20 minutes outside the terminal for pickup. Then the agent lost the larking ticket, drove around looking for it then drove to pay the fine. After all that, during formalities, they typed my credit card details, including CCV, into their system and refused to rent otherwise. Upon delivery we had to wait 20 minutes to be delivered to the terminal. Rude and incompetent.

Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 19 years.
A Young driver fee is not applied.

There is no maximum age.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 2 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.

In addition to documents mentioned previously, the customer will need the following: valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, Passport or ID card, booking voucher.
Deposit and deductible policy
A deposit will be blocked on the customer's credit card and will be released within 30 days after drop-off.
The exact deposit is determined on pick up since the amount is dependent on the type of vehicle.
Payment policy
At time of pick up, customers will be required to pay the amount of the rental and a deposit.
Only cards issued in the main driver's name are accepted.

It is possible to pay and leave the deposit only with the following payment methods: MasterCard credit card, VISA credit card, American Express credit card.

Cash, Prepaid cards is/are not accepted.

The main driver must provide a physical payment card in their name with enough funds to cover the deposit to pick up the car. The rental company will neither accept virtual credit cards (e.g., GooglePay or ApplePay) nor someone else’s card (including family members).
Cross-border policy
Cross border rentals are allowed only upon previous request.
Additional charges will be applied in case the car is crossing state or region borders.

Crossing country borders is allowed to the following countries: European Union.

In the event that Cross Border & Territorial Restrictions are violated, all protections lose their validity.

Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a certain amount of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Additional information
Winter tires are recommended during the winter season but are not mandatory.
Snow chains are recommended in icy/snowy conditions, especially when traveling in mountainous areas.
Business hours
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 120 minutes.
