My stay was mostly in Tyrol , very nice area, zellertal, cool and very greenish, it was as raining in most of the days. They have plenty of nicely furnished accommodation and lots of bakery and grocery stores.

We drove 4000km in 3 weeks through Germany, Austria and Italy. It was all great, apart from the crowds in Rome. Driving in Europe can be stressful - very high speeds on the autobahns/autostrada, highway tolls can be expensive, and Italian/German drivers are crazy/impatient

One of my favorite parts of the trip was just driving through the Bavarian countryside. The idyllic towns, adorable homes, gorgeousountain views, etc. We went to the passion play in Oberammergau which was spectacular. Salzburg was beautiful, though I wouldn't recommend driving in the old city. We also went to Amriswi, Switzerland and found our ancestral home built in the 1400s. Amazing!
