- Albert Dock. Another important part of the city, the old docks and warehouses of Liverpool have now been turned into restaurants, bars, and galleries. Attractions like The Beatles Museum (dedicated to the four most famous sons of the city), Merseyside Maritime Museum, and Tate Liverpool are also here. The area was granted a special charter in 2018 and is now known officially as the Royal Albert Dock.
- Snowdonia National Park. Just a little more than a stone’s throw away from its old rival, Manchester, and near other large cities like Sheffield and Leeds, Liverpool is situated in one of the most industrialized, densely populated areas of England. But drive west instead of east, and you’ll soon reach the border of Wales, and, soon after, a vast expanse of nearly untouched nature. Made up of magnificent peaks, rolling green hills, highland lakes and protected wildlife, Snowdonia is one of the most beautiful nature preserves in the United Kingdom. Located just a 90-minute drive from Liverpool, it can be visited on a day trip.

You’ll also find ATMs, currency exchanges, an on-site hotel, baby changing facilities, mobile device charging pods, a lost and found office, a spa, a multifaith prayer room, and exhibits about John Lennon and the Beatles. It’s also possible to join an airport tour. Left luggage services are offered daily from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the information desk on the ground floor. Liverpool Airport is fully equipped for travelers with reduced mobility. Special assistance is also available, but make sure to contact your airline in advance if you’d like this service.
