AutoRent Cyprus at Paphos Airport

Pros: Nothing

Cons: The staff were rude, unhelpful and impatient

Pros: AutoRent were fantastic, pick up was almost immediate, the office is just a few minutes down the road. Paperwork was done quickly and easily and the staff were friendly. The car was basic but good and we had no issues with it at all. Return was just as easy, car was checked over and my deposit returned. I would highly recommend AutoRent and will definitely use them again.

Cons: Nothing, all was great

Pros: Car was fine

Cons: They were very slow collecting from airport. Having completed the online check-in the night before, they were extremely slow issuing our car and in fact gave us the wrong. It was a lower grade. Once all our suitcases were loaded, they realised their mistake and gave us a different car which needed another payment. Delayed 45mins. On return they told us we had damaged the car and wanted our pictures to confirm but then 30min after ringing main office, our deposit was returned. No explanation.

Pros: Fast efficient

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Very friendly and efficient staff.

Cons: Nothing , everything was top class!

Pros: Pick up and drop off good

Cons: The car was ok but opening the boot was a problem. We informed them when we returned the car so hopefully they will fix the catch.

Pros: Good price, car was ok even if a little low powered and 6 years old, wasn't busy for pick up or drop off so wasn't kept waiting. Straightforward process and we didn't arrive until 11pm on a Sunday night.

Cons: Nothing much really even though I'm not a big fan of offsite shuttles. I couldn't add the free additional 1st extra driver online without incurring an extra fee but the rep did it ok in the office. I had already checked in online providing all documents like passport and driving licence to save time but it didn't show in the office and I had to do it all again in person.

Pros: All very good

Cons: No complaints

Pros: Basically the service and price. It's one of the budget providers, pick up will not be as slick as the big firms, it's perfectally ok.

Cons: Nothing really

Pros: Fairly quick pick up , really good price and friendly service

Pros: I liked that you could do online check in which made the process quicker when collecting car.

Pros: really good company used several times

Cons: it was very slow service

Pros: Very friendly boss man, great value for money. Thank you very much 😊

Cons: Nothing to report here, didn't try to push further insurance for the car, just all round Great company

Pros: Friendly and very helpful

Pros: No instructions given on the booking as where you meet the collection bus at airport. Had to call them to get directions and was weird having to walk to the near petrol station to be collected and taken to the booking office which we knew was off site. Minibus driver was nice and very helpful.

Cons: Staff at the office were helpful despite their stresses in finding us a suitable car. Unfortunately the car provided was very old, extremely high mileage and in general poor condition. Warning lights on the dash, no way of turning headlights on or off, just set to auto with no dials. We had to fill the water for window washers and also check/fill the tyres with air. Despite this is didn't let us down during our trip. Transpired that due to a shortage of hire cars that vehicle was from elsewhere

Pros: Quick pick up and drop off. Good value for money.

Cons: Grumpy woman at check out. Tried to charge us for a pre-existing dint on the car we rented. Luckily we took photos when we got it. Car had engine light on at pick up and had done 120k miles but ran okay and did the job for £140 for the week so all in all wasn't too bad.

Pros: Car was only party clean and no washer bottle liquid

Pros: The office is a bit out of the way but the agent came and picked me up, at midnight, in less than 10 minutes. I dropped a pin so i could easily find my way back. I found the process quick, easy and the agent, helpful and friendly. The car was an upgrade to what I’d reserved so very pleased with that too!

Pros: Easy description for pick up, great transfer (5min drive) from just outside airport (less than 2 min walk). Paperwork clear and completed within 5 mins. Car was in okay condition, no problems with it throughout trip, all previous damage (minor scratches) logged correctly on paperwork prior to arrival. Petrol level was lower than stated on paperwork but staff stated if it’s lower just take a picture to prove it prior to leaving with car, and show picture upon return, no issues in return.

Cons: No complaints.

Pros: Automatic. Worked perfectly

Pros: Pick up and drop off very efficient

Cons: Not alot. Great service and value. Car felt a little old. But was fully reliable

Pros: really friendly, not over zealous like some hirers, great attitude

Cons: Nothing!

Pros: The service was polite and friendly.

Cons: I was expected to have read a message to be notified about the pick up point being changed before I got phone and internet connection.

Pros: Absolutely nothing

Cons: The transfer pick up was at a garage off the airport site, presumably to save money. The actual car collection took forever. The customer in front of us was given a car that wouldn’t start and there was an interminable wait while someone came to assist. The car I was given became more reluctant to start until on the third day the battery was dead. It took 2 hours to get someone out to replace the battery, despite the journey time of 30 minutes. A real holiday spoiler I’m afraid

Pros: Friendly and reasonably efficient. Clean and entirely acceptable car.

Cons: Slight issues with organising the pick up but not a serious problem.

Pros: Friendly and helpful

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Clear communication and high professionalism and reliability.

Cons: No problems.

Pros: The pick up and drop off service was fantastic. The original car had air condition issue and it was replaced with another car without any problem.

Cons: none

Pros: the pick up and drop off was ok however not what was expected when booking

Cons: The quality of the car provided and cleanliness

Pros: Friendly staff at pick up and drop off

Cons: Nothing to dislike the car rental company was excellent

Pros: Ease of rental and friendliness and helpful on pickup.

Cons: On return, going man was not happy for some reason(send to me rushed and said he was on his own). He made us loads the luggage into the transit vehicle and unload it. He also didn't drop us off and the pickup point but at the 5 minute drop off.. We had a load of luggage for 5 people of which 3 had to get a taxi due to luggage for 5 people. Not good customer service!!

Pros: Great people/representatives

Cons: Very poor cars/old with well over 100,000km. My car has warning signs all the time I drove it and was told not to worry about them!!

Pros: Perfect service, minibus came to pick us up after 2 minutes of calling them!

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Easy to use

Cons: Minor detail refund on cancelled amended order still not resolved

Pros: Staff was so professional and friendly

Cons: Nothing really everything was good 👍

Pros: Service was good. Paperwork completed quickly and efficiently. Collection from the airport was easy once we had spoken to them. Returning car was very straightforward

Cons: Car was ok but quite old. There were scratches and dints all over it. This didn't really bother me as it would probably pick up more due to the roads and loose stones everywhere, and rental staff acknowledge this. Car was a bit noisy but it did the job and the main thing was the a/c was icy cold! Price was good.

Pros: Picked up at airport .we were delayed over an hour but the auto rent guy sat and waited for us. Then a few minutes by car to car rental

Cons: Very friendly.

Pros: Friendly staff plus accessible service 24 hrs

Cons: The car condition was knackered but it did the job so can’t complain

Pros: Giving the car back, the service was quick and efficient.

Cons: The first car we were given had all sorts of red warning lights coming on. We took it back straight away and were told not to worry about them. However the car started having problems and so we had to go back to the company the next day to change the car.

Pros: Good price

Cons: Old car

Pros: Fast, friendly, problem free. Car was easy to drive and had all needed functions.

Cons: The car was set to be returned with 4/10 fuel but it was actually starting on 3/10 And a pannel on the drivers side was lose and could have been blamed on the driver. However overall it was no problem and the experience was great.

Pros: Friendly, wide options of cars to choose from and was very accommodating to the timings of our awkward flight times.

Cons: Could not fault them. Already planning on using them again when we visit again.

Pros: He called me straight away when I landed and asked if everything is ok and then told me where he will pick me up and take me to car rental site. He picked me up 5 min later and up we go. He took us to the car rental site and it was clean and there was some good cars. Reception was clean and spot on. Paperwork was quick and fully explained and very easy to fill up. I had no accidents or anything to call them, but I was given two emergency 24/7 numbers just in case.

Cons: I liked everything.. just run out of space in “ what good I can say about car rental “ 😅 We needed to give car back 4am, because we had a flight at 5:45am and even then he was super professional and quick. I had no damage or anything, so it was quick and he took us back to airport. Top car rental . If I’m coming back, that’s where I’m going .

Pros: All was fine, s expected

Cons: No issues, pickup on the airport could be a bit better but good

Pros: Quick on arrival for pick up just after the plane landed, excellent as we have no luggage. Made sure we had a Skoda Fabia which we like as it suits us in Cyprus

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Excellent service, prompt pickup, very friendly and helpful

Pros: Efficient , helpful customer service

Cons: Unsure where to wait for pick up from airport by shuttle bus to car hire compound

Pros: Couldn't fault them from pick-up at the airport to drop off back at the airport. A very slick operation.

Cons: Nothing. Couldn't fault them.

Pros: Great service and staff, no problems whatsoever, thank you AutoRent.

Pros: The car wouldn’t start on our 2nd day it had a flat battery the representative from auto cars was with us in under half an hour & swapped cars.

Cons: Both cars we had were Nissan Notes both had quite a lot of chips & dents

Pros: We enjoyed how easy this rental company was, I would defo book again and will return soon.

Cons: Hopefully a better car with usb port

Pros: Cost and friendly service

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Personal, friendly, felt I was interacting with a Cypriot business, not an international entity. They were cheaper too as their site was a couple of km off airport, not a problem for us. Also very happy to not have a brand new car as many roads are rough and throw up chips.

Pros: Nothing, I will avoid this company at all costs

Cons: The car provided was positioned to me as an upgrade from my booking. Every panel of the car was scratched and dented. Bumper was attached, fan belt was slipping and noisy as was the power steering pump. The car was advertised with full to full for fuel but only 3/4 of a tank. Paid deposit using Amex card, told at collection balance couldn’t be paid in the same way. My wife cut her leg on interior sharp edged damaged trim resulting in a visit to a chemist and subsequent bruising.

Pros: Not much to not like.

Cons: Discovery cars not warning you when picking up the vehicle you have to pay excess on a credit card NOT debit. This is irrespective of if you paid for vehicle with debit card.

Pros: Excellent agents. Very polite and ready to help in any way they can

Cons: Poor condition of cars/not checked properly prior to renting out/

Pros: First car had a wheel defect lady wasn’t keen to change it but my husband insisted. Second car engine management light was in as soon as my husband started the car but the lady had left to go to the airport. We had to return that car and a man tried telling us it was fine and it was the petrol. My husband by trade is a motor mechanic and has over 50 years in the trade so a third car was arranged. The third one the air con didn’t work but we just put up with it. Would never go back again

Pros: Great service, friendly staff & a good car.

Pros: Polite, courteous.

Cons: Pick up a bit hit and miss. Had to calll to get pickup. Car was tired and high mileage. No boot cover to conceal luggage.

Pros: The final outcome see ' didn't like '. The GM replaced the car for a better one, refunded the money I had paid out and reimbursed a day's rental from their original charge of 160 Euros . I still had to pay 80 Euro for the tyre even though I had taken out their insurance!!!

Cons: I had a tyre blow out at a dangerous road junction. It was getting dark and I was on my own (female). I called for their inclusive emergency assistance and they said they would call me back ...They didnt. I had to pay someone to change the tyre for the space saver. I called the following day several times and their response was that they were busy!! I called the next day nd was asked to take the car back to their office (20 miles away). I spoke to the GM who's said they had staffing difficulties

Pros: Friendly service.

Cons: the car is old and in bad technical condition, suspension was dead, air conditioning low.

Pros: Georgie was very friendly and was so helpful throughout our rental from start to finish.

Cons: Couldn’t fault it

Pros: Staff are friendly human beings, they make the process stress free. Just nice people

Cons: There wasn't anything negative about the experience

Pros: friendly, efficient, proffesional

Cons: N/A

Pros: Was fairly easy to pick up and the car did it’s job

Cons: Was only 1 person working who seemed incredibly stressed and overall very rude on the last day dealing with multiple pick ups and drop offs alone making us leave later to the airport than we intended, simple slow puncture on a tyre they ended up charging us over €80 there is 0 chance that tyre was beyond repair, so if you rent with these you’ll definitely need full cover, was supposed to come with a full tank was given to us with half, another couple picking up the day we left had an empty tank

Pros: All above reasons and the gentleman who helped us was great

Cons: Nothing, it was great!

Pros: Everything as above

Cons: Nothing, their service was impeccable.

Pros: The air con worked in the car.

Cons: Getting to the office and collecting the car was an absolute nightmare. In future I will only use firms based at the airport in order to avoid this ever happening again.

Pros: Everything. The agent rang to say he was waiting at arrivals exit at airport with the minibus. When we came out I rang him back and he was there waving. Excellent.

Cons: Absolutely nothing.

Pros: We had a flat battery 2 days in a row. The aircon on the car was useless.

Pros: The agent, Athenia. Our flight was 3 hours late but she waited up to meet up until 01.30. She was very helpful and answered all our questions.

Cons: Reliable clear and easy.

Pros: Very slick operation - no hanging about and return to airport was simple and seamless. Would happily use again.

Pros: efficient, friendly, very helpful. No complications, value for money and easy to deal with. highly recommend. Thank you

Pros: Good price , fast delivery and free shuttle bus to and from the airport

Pros: Friendly and helpful.

Cons: Car was very basic but was reasonable price.

Pros: They phoned on arrival and came to find us at the airport

Cons: The fuel was not full when picking up and it is difficult to find the office in the dark when returning as there is no signage

Pros: Excellent all round. Just wish the car had been a bit newer

Cons: Nothing

Pros: very pleasant and polite lady and female assistant/driver when we showed documentation to hire the car

Cons: delay in locating the pickup van at the airport. Car not very clean inside, very noisy exhaust, various rattles from underneath, tyre pressure warning light on (false alarm). Worst thing was transfer to airport after handing in the car - I told the driver

Pros: Friendly and professional

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Straightforward, easy, fast response to queries.

Cons: Excellent,

Pros: Very quick and friendly

Cons: Office was slightly harder to find at night

Pros: Kind, efficient service. Very helpful

Cons: Quite difficult to find on my return from holiday. Could do with a bigger sign on the road

Pros: Representative was very accomodating, our flight was delayed 7.5 hrs and they came in the night to collect us.

Pros: We had a 4 hour delay and as soon as we called the hire company they arrived 5 minutes later

Pros: Brilliant customer service

Pros: All dealt with very quickly and efficient.

Cons: When taken back car they were at least 15 minutes wait for someone to come to rental place it was very hot waiting in the sun .

Pros: Great service!

Cons: No issues

Pros: Very efficient

Cons: Very good

Pros: Perfect

Cons: None they were perfect

Pros: Easy to work with and no language barriers

Cons: I didn’t actually like my car at first because I thought it looked old and tiny. But it was perfect for Cyprus as it had Bluetooth, perfect size for what we needed and the roads and parking and better than most living Cypriots vehicles.

Pros: Excellent service

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Speed and value

Cons: Had th change car first had an oil light on at acceptance. All cars high mileage and re sprayed. However, the car ran perfectly

Pros: Friendly staff

Cons: No complaints about the service. So much so, I forgot to tell them about the battery cause they were more interested in chatting about our holiday.

Pros: Friendly

Cons: Car with zero fuel.

Pros: Staff helpfulness

Cons: Value for money

Pros: Competitive priced. Easy clear conditions of hire no hidden costs. Friendly representative.personal touch of drop off outside airport terminal.

Cons: Honestly can't fault the hire vehicle or the service provided.

Pros: Very efficient staff

Cons: The wait to be picked up then I was given an automatic car which I had to change !!

Pros: Good easy efficient

Cons: Only small amount of petrol in car

Pros: Fast efficient service and car swap after puncture and no spare in boot

Cons: Tyres were not in great condition which lead to puncture. But they apologised immediately and recovered us in 40 mins.

Pros: Easy admin for pick up

Cons: Was supposed to be full to full but wasn't. Picked up with just under half a tank but left it with three quarters.

Pros: I actual recommend them, but they need to me more aware of the conditions of the car, I just got a auto when I ask for manual. When changed I just got a uncleaned car, tire was down, and petrol nearly non. The overall service from the employee was very good quick and polite, and happy to help, but I don't thing the conditions of the car was great. Just advice a bit more checking before giving the car to the customer.

Pros: Very helpful when I didn't want an automatic ..... as never driven one. Drove us to hotel and would bring car next morning.

Cons: The car didn't appear until late afternoon. I appreciated very much their efforts to to find me a manual car. But a day of the holiday was wasted. The offices are not well marked, the promised message with instructions to find them did not come. The instructions for pick up were inaccurate.

Pros: The lady who worked there was brilliant - really helpful, efficient and friendly. Great value. The car wasn't in great condition as they were a bit short of cars, but we prefer that anyway as you don't feel so scared about getting a scratch!

Cons: The car key battery ran out, so we had to get it replaced but the lady did so very quickly with no bother at all.
