Get Your Car at Paphos Airport

Pros: One of the quickest pick ups for a budget car ever

Cons: Not much. Just there was no USB charger point for phones etc in the car and no water in the windscreen washer

Pros: Was quick and appeared cheap, with full insurance

Cons: When I got to the Sixt car desk I was informed that I was not fully insured and I needed to pay €150 , when I contacted your agent he informed that no refunds available

Pros: Excellent service from the desk in the airport

Cons: Car wasn’t readily available when I arrived, not on site, but only a few minutes wait.

Cons: Agents always asking if I want to upgrade, I selected the car for a reason.

Pros: The desk assistant gave me options for insurance and different vehicles when I picked up the keys but no hard sell

Cons: Not clear that you have to go to the Sixt counter - I had to Google advice from other customers before booking to find this out

Pros: I arrived an hour early, due to getting through the airport faster than I anticipated. They didn't have my car ready and offered an upgrade if I wanted one sooner, I said I would wait and went and had a coffee . 15 Mins later the agent came and found me and said they my car was ready and would I like to pick it up after I had finished my drink. Really helpful.

Cons: This only thing I found difficult is finding the car hire top off area. I wasn't sure whether to park in a car park. I eventually found it right round the other side of the airport entrance... some signs might be helpful

Cons: Having to wait up to 5 days to get my deposit back. Also I didn't like the upselling - ie trying to get me to sign up to a larger car

Pros: It was reasonably easy to organise and collect and the car was reliable with no faults.

Cons: I didnt like how the insurance was sold and then told at collection from sixt that we really should have had their insurance and that if we needed to use the one we had bought we would have to pay their fees and claim back later, it wasnt clear and we felt a little conned.

Pros: Picked the car up from Cyprus airport. Pick up area immediately inside airport arrival exit. Paperwork done to through Sixt car rental. No heavy up selling, we had additional full cover in advance which is always worth having. Would use again

Cons: I payed insurance twice. If I took only DoscoverCars insurance, I would have to pay every damage by myself and later to refund it from DiscoverCars.

Cons: Agent was trying to scare me into buying full insurance even though I have full damage waiver protection. When he presented the car forms to sign he didn’t tell me I had a Nissan note and not the ford focus as advertised. I had to spot his myself. I think the person at the counter was SNEAKY and I didn’t like it and I will be complaining about this.

Pros: Picking up and dropping off was clearly sign posted and easily facilitated.

Cons: Car rental agent was very pushy, trying to upsell a much too big car, despite me having prepaid and being a solo traveller. Then she was trying to sell me extra insurance and said the insurance I had already bought from elsewhere was insufficient, when it clearly wasn’t. I ended up with an older and battered VW Golf 🤔

Pros: We where so happy with the car and the service prided

Cons: Arriving at Paphos airport we could find the desk for discover cars. We went to another desk then we had to explain our booking and we where then told discover cars is a booking agent and the desk was at Sixty cars. Once we realised this, everything was smooth from then onwards.

Pros: I liked the fact that the desk was alongside SixT, and three agents were ther, so a speedy collection was possible.

Pros: Very quick service - it wasn’t clear that we needed to visit the Sixt desk in airport or it would have been 10 stars. Car looked ok but had a lot of scratches. The €1000 deposit seems extreme. No issues with picking up or returning car.

Cons: Did not know that it was Sixt that we needed to go to at the airport, was looking for discovery cars. Just asked another rental company who told me. Also on return did not know you needed to get a car park ticket, and then scan it to get through the barrier to return the car to sixt.

Cons: The quality of the car was poor. It was an old car with 27k miles on the clock. No Bluetooth. No satellite navigation or any mod cons, such as reverse camera, cruise control, parking sensors.

Pros: Once found Get your car was using Sixt agency, collecting car and being on our way was good.

Cons: finding the sign at Sixt desk. Key fob would not fold in, so repaired for them. Engine heat display went up to full heat, when turned off engine and would not function again, so sorted this out as well. did not have ant problems after this.
