Pick-up instructions
You will receive your rental car at the Sixt branch. The Sixt Rental Desk inside the North Terminal is currently not operating due to construction work inside the Terminal. The car park for the North Terminal cannot be accessed at this point in time either. Please proceed to the Sixt office inside the South Terminal to both pick up and return vehicles. Follow signs towards Car Rentals, which will be located on your right upon exiting international arrivals and on the left if exiting UK arrivals. This will lead you past Currency exchange. Head down over the travellator to the exit outside. On your right you will see lifts which will take you to the lower level. Once on the ground level, please make your way towards the forecourt, turning right towards bus stop number 1. Cons: I booked throw third party car 3000 with full insurance. yet the Sixt Computer said that i had booked direct with Sixt with out Full insurance, Had to go through internet to bring up my Booking Email, Makes me wounder was the agent trying to get me to take out a second full insurance (does he get commission from it)?

Pros: They did not have a long wait

Cons: The Sixt customer service agent was rude. I arrived 2 hours late because my flight was delayed and the agent asked me why I arrived late. He proceeded to treat me in a "superior" attitude and the car he gave me was not appropriate. He would not give me a car that was and I ended up having to pay $200 more for a better car. I will never use Sixt again. I have rented many cars and never have had any problems like I encountered. I have never had to post a disagreement. This was unprofessional.

Pros: The service we received upon pick-up at Gatwick airport was excellent. Adam was professional, courteous and ensured we received our car within a timely manner. Thank you so much, Adam!

Cons: The customer service we received at Glasgow Airport when dropping off the car was less to be desired. Although we had paid for full liability coverage, Sebastian wasted over 1/2 hour of our time as he took pictures of small scratches on the back bumper of the car. We asked to leave to catch our flight, but he insisted that we needed to stay as he did his inspection. We should have been able to sign the hand-off immediately upon our arrival and left and then he could have done his inspection.

Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 21 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 28.

Maximum rental age is 70 years.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 5 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

For vehicles in groups Luxury, Special a driver license issued at least 3 years ago is required.
Driver licenses will be accepted if issued in the following country(ies): United Kingdom, EU.
UK residents that hold a non-UK licence may drive in the UK for up to 12 months from the time they become a resident. After 12 months, the overseas licence will be deemed illegal in the UK and it must be exchanged for the UK equivalent.
UK customers must bring their DVLA check code along with their photo ID. This check code can be obtained from the DVLA website.

A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit. Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license. Driver licenses from the following country(ies): China will be accepted only if the translation is approved by the Consulate or Embassy. In addition to documents mentioned previously, the customer will need the following: valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, Passport or ID card. Residents of the following country(ies): United Kingdom are required to present the following document(s): valid driver license, Passport or ID card, 2 proofs of home address (e.g. Utility bill), that is valid for at least 3 months before the pick up date in order to pick up the car.
Deposit and deductible policy
A deposit will be blocked on the customer's credit card until the end of the rental period.
The exact deposit is determined on pick up since the amount is dependent on the vehicle.

If the customer takes the following extra equipment: GPS Navigation system, Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age), Mobile tablet, Cell phone, then an additional amount of deposit will be held on their credit card.
Payment policy
At time of pick up, customers will be required to pay the amount of the rental and a deposit.
The following credit cards issued on the main driver's name are accepted: American Express, Diners, Discover, MasterCard credit card, VISA credit card.

Payments and deposits with the following payment method(s): Diners, JCB, Discover, Visa Debit Card, MasterCard debit card are accepted only for the following car group(s): Economy, Compact, Standard, Intermediate, Fullsize.
Cash, Cheques is/are not accepted.

The main driver must provide a physical payment card in their name with enough funds to cover the deposit to pick up the car. The rental company will neither accept virtual credit cards (e.g., GooglePay or ApplePay) nor someone else’s card (including family members).
Geographical restrictions
Cross border rentals are allowed only upon previous request.
Additional charges will be applied in case the car is crossing state or region borders.

Crossing country borders is forbidden if the car is rented in the following territory(ies): North Ireland.
In the event that Cross Border & Territorial Restrictions are violated, all protections lose their validity.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.

Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Alternatively, the renter may purchase a tank full of fuel at the time of rental and return the tank empty.
In no case will a refund be given for unused fuel.
Business hours
Service outside of business hours is available by request and for an additional charge.
