Cons: Florence representative totally useless / massively unorganised / and Impossible to get through on phone. Really disgraceful! We wasted 2 days of our 7 day holiday dealing with a sh*t company who should have more representatives at the desk we queued for 4 hrs.

Pros: Do not rent from this company if you're picking up from Gatwick or any airport. T&Cs only allows one hour grace from pick up time. If your flight is delayed and you arrive one hour and one minute late, your booking is cancelled. The cost of a new booking is outragus.

As the agent made us feel it was essential to purchase their insurance as I have now found out it’s wasn’t necessary to purchase Feel I was coned by being put under pressure and told that 3000 pounds would be taken from my credit card and withheld for a month. Very bad experience and will not be a returning customer.

They could not provide documentation for the so called extra taxes. I highly don't recommend Drivilia at Gatwick airport.

Don't always go with the lowest cost provider.

Normally this wouldn't be an issue but it was the first time I had driven in England for many years as I live in Italy, so having a really large car was not ideal and made me even more nervous.

Cons: When we picked up the vehicle, the dashboard service schedule was showing a service and oil change was due and felt this should have been carried out before the car was released for our hire period. Knowing the hire car has been serviced at the recommended interval minimises anxiety.

They should be up and running at 7am in my opinion. Car was picked up on Empty!! No gas in car - which meant I had to use my time to find garage and fill up. Also, warning light came on within one mile of Air Pressure tires needed adjusting. Also, zero credit given for leaving car on 3/4 full with gas.

Cons: I rented at Gatwick on 6th July. Drivalia had no cars, so everyone just had to wait until a car was returned by another customer. There was no time guarantee that this would happen. We waited 3 hours for a car. Other people waited longer. If a car was returned that did not match your booking, people were forced to re-book and pay extra to get a car. Thirdly, finding you was difficult and I think you need to make it a lot more clearer that you are not based in the airport.
