Pros: The agent attitude was professional, kind and helpful

Cons: While renting, you're expected to take a video of the car. They often don't document all existing damage or scratches on the rental agreement, even if you ask them to. To avoid being charged upon return, meticulously record every part of the vehicle, including the tires.

Pros: It took a while to find Keddy (Europcar) and then we had to wait a while in the queue. But the agent was nice and helpful. The car we had was clean on the inside but dirty on the outside and then we had to wait for another car to arrive. But after everything was done and dusted we were fine.

Cons: The supervisor at Europcar (Keddy) was quite rude to start with.

Cons: Airplane was late so agent in Lisbon phoned Marseille to say we would be late. We picked up car next morning. They held the reservation but did not hold our car. We had no choice but to take it at significant extra cost. We should have been given any car available at the contract price.

Cons: The whole experience has been frustrating, Europocar are quick to take your money, upgrade your vehicle stealthily and not make you aware of any costs incurred by doing so. The team members were rude to deal with, poor customer service skills, the manager was no better. Manners cost nothing. Any future prospective customers of Europocar, please take heed, and honestly use another car provider. The whole experience has tarnished what was a great holiday! Don’t use Europocar.

Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: € 2000.00), Theft Protection, Third Party Liability (TPL), Airport surcharge, Road tax, Vehicle registration fee, Free modifications, State Tax.
Rate excludes
Many highways in France are tolled using only electronic means.
An E-Toll is offered in order to avoid violation fees.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 18 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 26.

There is no maximum age.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

For vehicles in groups Compact, Standard, Luxury, Intermediate, Fullsize, Compact Elite a driver license valid for at least 3 years is required.
For vehicles in groups Premium a driver license valid for at least 5 years is required.

A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
In addition to the regular driver license, an International Driving Permit is also mandatory if the customer is not a resident of the following country(ies): United Kingdom, EU countries. Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.

In order to pick up the car, the following documents are required: valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, Passport or ID card, booking voucher, proof of home address (e.g. Utility bill), that is valid for at least 3 months before the pick up date.
Deposit and deductible policy

Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: GPS Navigation system, Baby seat (up to 1 year of age).
Prices for extras are shown on the booking page.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.

Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Diesel vehicles are available only by request upon arrival.
Diesel vehicles are available for an additional charge.
Electric vehicles must be returned with the same battery charge they had when picked up to avoid additional charges (on a per kWh basis). An additional admin fee will be charged if a vehicle is returned with less than 80 % battery charge remaining.
Additional information
By law, winter tires are mandatory on all roads from 01.11 to 31.03 in the following regions: Ain, Allier, Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, Hautes-Alpes, Alpes-Maritimes, Ardeche, Ariege, Aude, Aveyron, Cantal, Doubs, Drome, Haute-Garonne, Isere, Jura, Loire, Haute-Loire, Lozere, Moselle, Puy-de-Dome, Pyrénées-Atlantiques, Hautes-Pyrénées, Pyrénées-Orientales, Bas-Rhin, Haut-Rhin, Rhone, Haute-Saone, Savoie, Haute-Savoie, Tarn, Var, Vaucluse, Vosges, Territoire de Belfort.
Snow chains are recommended in icy/snowy conditions, especially when traveling in mountainous areas.
Business hours
Service outside of business hours is available by previous request at airport locations.
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 0 minutes. If the customer is late for a return for more than 29 minutes, extra day charges will apply, in addition to any other rental charges.
