Cons: I was charved in USDs. Intead of 465.78 EUR, I paid 523.78 USD without notification. Finally I ended to pay 507.05, EUR, which was 41.27 EUR more than stated in my voucher.

Cons: -Couldn't get hold of Goldcar when my flight was diverted because of weather. I arrived 7hrs late on the same day -I queued 1hr with my elderly mother (no chairs) and the staff took ages to check people in (approx 17 mins per person) -When I finally got to the desk I was told that my booking had been cancelled and they wanted 1000 EUR for 3 days car hire -They left my elderly mother and I stranded late at night with no way of getting to our accommodation - will never use Goldcar again

Cons: I couldnt rind the desk and had to wait a while to be served.

Cons: The absolutely appalling after service when they accused me of dropping the car off late . They rang me twice on my English mobile , I picked up , they accused me of returning the car late , I said I didn’t and have a photo to prove it , they then oh it was an error with their systems. I then.m get a fraud alert from my bank saying gold car are trying to take money from me , they have now and are not responding to my emails .

Pros: I like Goldcar i use them a lot and would use them again, easy and hassle free pick up and drop off. There was only one staff member at pick up so the wait was a bit longer than it should have been

Cons: I would have liked a car that was less marked and scratched and closer to the model advertised even though this was in the same category it was not as nice a car as the suggested equivalent

Cons: When I had a problem with the car by my mistake, firstly they didn't try to help me, only after my pressure.

Cons: Because I booked through your company, I was advised that there was absolutely no insurance or cover provided and I had to pay an extra £200 for insurance. I will not use Discover Cars or Goldcar again.

Pros: Aggressive selling of alternative insurance to that which I'd already paid. Refusal or inability to swipe credit card for reserve. I've hired cars in many countries but never had this kind of difficulty. Had to pay their additional insurance.

Cons: The fact that they told me the insurance cover I purchased through discover cars was worthless and insisted I bought their local cover at a ridiculously high price. Refused to contact Discover Cars to resolve problem and told me that any scratch on the car would cost at least 300 Eoro

Cons: The staff were threatening and full of scare stories about paying for damage. I had to tell her 5 times I didn't want to pay for any extra insurance and each time she tried to push me over the edge with another scare story. Awful woman!

Cons: When I arrived to collect the car I was made to take out insurance again and told that the full coverage I had paid for online was to a separate company, and that I had to pay another 126 euros to the company on site. This was never explained online when I paid the extra insurance for full coverage.

Pros: If one agreed to pay their 'real' high pricing, everything went quite smoothly

Cons: I was not the only one to be trying to pick up a car at an 'agreed' & confirmed rate that was not real. The Goldcar staff insisted on a much higher price and my having to return the car two hours earlier and clean it on the day, as well as the much higher excess. Each time I agreed to one of their demands, they would make up another one. As I was rushing for a hospital appointment and would be coming from visiting my father in hospital on the drop off day, I effectively had to agree to pay.

Cons: There was no mentioning about the "optional" insurance on the page. We went to the car rental company with the expectation to get a car for 20 euros a day because this is the price indicated during the booking having already prepaid 70 euros. At the counter they then made it appear as a matter of fact that we need to pay 200 euros for an extra insurance. Be aware of such nasty behavior. Get an external assurance in advance which is much cheaper and categorically reject these "offers".
