Cons: In order to pick up teh car, I had to pay an extra very expensive total risk insurance to Italy Car Rent on top of the insurance I booked already through DiscoverCars. This made the car-rental extremely expensive: 100 Euros per day. I also had to leave cash money in order to be able to get the car. This was all due to the fact that just giving your credit card to teh service desk of Italy Car Rent was not good enough. Together with my credit card I had to enter my pincode.

Cons: The tyre pressure of both back tyres was too low. As soon as I started the engine the TPMS symbol was on. I ran back to their office to ask. Their answer was: "oh don't worry, that's alright, you can drive like this". So I left and I stopped at the first petrol station and pumped both tyres from 1.9 to 2.6 bar. It was raining and late in the evening. So not a very pleasant situation. This check should.have been done before handing out the keys.

Pros: The young ladies Lilianna and Simona at SUF airport pick where FANTASTIC however the young man there was very rude and condescending and interrupted my conversation with Lilianna. A sense of authority when explaining the car rental rules and unwillingness to allow customer to finish speaking.

Cons: Language setting in vehicule was in German and unable to change it. Should be in English at all times as international language or reset by car rental company.

Pros: Picking up the car was relatively easy, although in Lamezia they had to reactivate my reservation even-though I advised them I would arrive later in the day.

Cons: They charged me for a VERY small scratch on the front bumper of the car, however, the front bumper already had two other areas of damage, as such it already needed to be repaired regardless of the small scratch that I was responsible for. I find this a total fraud and would not use them again in the future. Furthermore, I didn't get the exact car I requested, I did a lot of research in order to get a car with a lot of boot space, but the one they gave me was a bit smaller.

Cons: At drop off the agent tried to charge us for some new damages that were not done by us. The car was all scratched and not in good conditions, they had of course a lot of pictures of the car, not in the area where she said there were these new damages - looked like a scam agency and a recurrent trend.

Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 22 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 26.

There is no maximum age.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
In addition to the regular driver license, an International Driving Permit is also mandatory if the customer is not a resident of the following country(ies): United Kingdom, EU.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if it is accompanied by a regular driver's license, is issued by an official authority or government-authorized organization, and is in physical (not digital) form.

In order to pick up the car, the following documents are required: valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, Passport or ID card, booking voucher, proof of home address (e.g. Utility bill).
Renters from the following country(ies): United Kingdom must provide the following documents: credit card on a main drivers name, Passport or ID card, booking voucher, photocard driving licence in order to collect the car.
Deposit and deductible policy

Payment policy
At time of pick up, customers will be required to pay the amount of the rental and a deposit.
It is possible to pay and leave the deposit only with the following payment methods: American Express, Diners, MasterCard credit card, VISA credit card.
Only cards issued in the main driver's name are accepted.

The following payment methods are accepted: American Express, Cash, Diners, Prepaid cards, Visa Debit Card, MasterCard credit card, VISA credit card, MasterCard debit card.
Additional insurance (Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW)) must be purchased if using the following payment method(s): Cash, Debit cards, Prepaid cards.

The main driver must provide a physical payment card in their name with enough funds to cover the deposit to pick up the car. The rental company will neither accept virtual credit cards (e.g., GooglePay or ApplePay) nor someone else’s card (including family members).
Cross-border policy
It is forbidden to cross country borders.
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: GPS Navigation system, Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age), Ski rack.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.

Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Diesel vehicles are available for an additional charge.
Additional information
By law, winter tires are mandatory on all roads from 15.10 to 15.04 in the following regions: Aoasta-Valley.

Snow chains are recommended in icy/snowy conditions, especially when traveling in mountainous areas.
Rental period
The maximum rental period per agreement is 29 days. If the renter would like to extend the rental period, renter should return to the car hire office at the end of the rental period to sign a new agreement.
Business hours
Service outside of business hours is available by request and for an additional charge.
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 120 minutes.
