Cons: No one said that there was a certain time until which the rental agent works - on the order I had information that they work on Saturdays from 9 to 16. I got there at 15:20 and the rental company only until 15:00. No one called, asked if I would make it - or wait, and the phone didn't answer when I called when it turned out that they were closed. The rental company next door also had an opening time until 15:00 but it was still open - in the process of closing.

Cons: Service at the desk was slow. The car we had booked was never expected to be provided. Whilst the one provided was fine it was not 'similar' to the one booked at all (a Jeep electric SUV in place of a Fiat Tipo estate). People book the type and size of car they need so changing this is not helpful.

Cons: Warning lights on in vehicle. Woman traveling alone. Not knowing if vehicle was leaking oil or just not serviced caused me to do extra engine checking before using the car. Called the company and they said to add the oil and would reimburse but never did

Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 21 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 25.

There is no maximum age.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

Driver licenses will be accepted if issued in the following country(ies): United Kingdom, EU.
Otherwise, the renter must provide an International Driver Permit (IDP).
A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.


In order to pick up the car, the renter and each additional driver must present the following documents: valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, Passport or ID card, booking voucher.

In order to pick up the car, domestic renters must present the following documents: valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, Passport or ID card, booking voucher, Italian fiscal code card.
A local renter is defined as a renter who is a resident of Italy.

All documents must be issued in the same country.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.

Residents of Italy can only pick up a baby seat or child seat if they have their own anti-abandonment device, as they are not available at the rental desk.

During the winter season (15.11 to 15.04), Snow chains may be mandatory on certain roads in the following locations: Northern Italy, Central Italy, Southern Italy, Italy Islands. For more information please contact the car rental provider.
Delivery/Collection service is available only by previous request.
Additional charges will be applied.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Electric vehicles must be returned with the same battery charge they had when picked up to avoid additional charges (on a per kWh basis). An additional admin fee will be charged if a vehicle is returned with less than 95 % battery charge remaining.
Additional information
The vehicle must be returned in an acceptably clean condition in order to avoid additional charges.

By law, winter tires are mandatory on all roads from 15.10 to 15.04 in the following regions: Aoasta-Valley.
