GM Rent a car at Budapest Airport

Pros: I have a big problem with deposit. I called them after I dropped of the car ( dropped ofc at 4:10,) because I wanted to know it was OK or not and they didn't sent any i formazion about status of my conract. The contact person told me the car was in good, but I need to wait for my deposit for two weeks...I do not understand why, I rented cars in different country ( Jordan, Spain, Italy) and never demand more then 24 hours to drop back the deposit.

Pros: The company’s high score is not without reason; when people receive the assurance and service for the payment they make, they are rightfully satisfied and reflect that in their reviews.

Cons: Car was modern, but I couldnt use the monitor effectively by connecting it to my smartphone. Whenever I wanted to make a call during the trip, I had to disconnect the phone from charging, otherwise there was no sound at all. Also, I could only use the map on the phone screen. My journey covered several countries so this became very tiring. Naturally, it should not be expected that a tourist brings such connection accessories from their home country. In my opinion, attention could be paid to these

Cons: As the car was used to visit Croatia the 10 Euro daily fee was thought to be excessive. Car if used in Hungary only is better value.

Pros: Excellent service, bonus that agent that met us spoke English and was there to help us negotiate the new automatic machine for pick up and drop off. Also I would like to say my purse with cash and credit cards had fallen out of my bag, as soon as they found it they emailed me and arranged to send it to my home address, I appreciate the prompt action and honesty.

Cons: Its 10 min drive to the airport. We had to wait 30 minuts for 2 texis

Pros: Got a hybrid model, good gas mileage

Cons: Facilities, dirt road, got a smaller car vs the chosen car, too small for a 6ft 2in person, incapable to get the car i reserved, standing in 30 deg heat with my family not having other choices then to take the car offered………..very disappointed, you should consider audit this place so that they are to the same standards that you “Discovercars” present to clients. I will think twice before renting a car via Discovercars again!

Pros: Very supportive agent and instant response. provide clear information & required documents and instruction to me regarding insurance claim.

Cons: The car was not washed or cleaned while pickup but overall condition was okay. since it was night during the pick up, it was quite difficult to find the rental office location and did not see any sign board for easy identification. Luckly my taxi driver helped me out to find it. Moreover, the rental company was not aware of what is included in my rental purchase specially the full coverage insurance.

Pros: Digital service, but not effective

Cons: Chargint extra service not requested and deposit more than what is mentioned in the voucher more than 600 euros vs 500 euros as mentioned on voucher

Pros: The car was the same as we ordered (not just similar). Small agency with no waiting line

Cons: We got there with public transportation from Budapest and walked a bit. It’s better to get there by taxi or shuttle from terminal

Pros: Very kind staff both at pick up and drop off.

Cons: The taxi company (free shuttle) entered the incorrect address to the off terminal pick up point. Fortunately the paperwork confirmation had the correct address and all was sorted.

Pros: Car was in xlnt condition, immaculate, newer model with upgraded features, the agent on pickup was friendly, had car ready and prepared with paperwork, same on drop off.

Cons: Not really a negative but FYI a little harder to find as it's tucked on one end of a min-mall with just a banner out front -but don't worry, it's totally legit and I very highly recommend.

Pros: Very quick.

Cons: First, money was taken in a different currency that what the booking stated, which made me feel a bit uncomfortable and may be a problem for some people. Second, when I wanted to take the time to enquire about the different currency and the going exchange rates, to make sure I wasn't being messed about, I felt a little rushed by the rental man. In then end, all was fine and I'm happy with the service.

Cons: When returning the car, they should not use a taxi service to bring us to the airport - it makes the client anxious about the arrival time

Pros: It was mostly done remotely, with someone there to help with the car pick up and an automatic return system. When we called for assistance a representative was available to walk us through the return. Everything went smoothly.

Cons: The instructions did not indicate that the car return would be automated. It would help if that were explained in the instructions that are sent out with the rental.

Pros: New hybrid car at the time of high gas prices, free transportation from airport, helpful and friendly staff.

Cons: The payment at the time of pick up was a mess. They did not ask me what currency I would choose as a payment and with that I've payed about $40-50 more.

Cons: Unfortunately the car broke down, no fault of the car rental agency. Obviously this impacted the return experience, however, the agency did a good job arranging the tow-truck.
