Cons: They tried ripping me off on a dent that was present before I rented the car. Even after I showed them the pictaure I took when I picked up the car, they didn't update it in their records. If you'll rent the same exact car, they'll charge you for the same dent 20 other people already paid for.....

Pros: The agent Jozsef threatened not to accept my rental if I did not take out their insurance policy at 2am. Then he threatened not to accept my credit card, which only had my initial on it for my first name despite evide.He also threatened that if I did not have the car fully valeted when I returned it they would charge me extortionately for a valet. In my experience as long as the car did not have any damage and was easily ‘cleanable’ it should not be valeted by the customer before returning it.

However, the person who took us in charge told us we were obligated to pay extra for full coverage because there is no base insurance on the car and the credit card would not cover in Hungary. It is a shame!!! We were forced to pay around 47€ a day extra (total 94€) to pick up the car. Really bad experience.

The car general condition was very nice, we ordered an Toyota Aygo and got upgrade an Opel Corsa.

Also, I don't appreciate being asked for a Tripadvisor review on the spot when I return the car, in their presence and influence. It is anything but professional + makes me greatly question all the 5 star ratings I read prior to booking.

Cons: After a late night flight all you want is to get the car and start your travel. Instead the rep pushes you really hard to purchase their own insurance! The car I got had dozens of scratches/defects all over and I had to mark and picture each and every one of them. It gets much worse when they give you a 10cm ruler and you have to mark the size of each defect. After 20mins I broke as I couldn't imagen doing it on my return so I purchased Klass Wagen rent and full coverage for ~130Eur more

Pros: Car was new and clean. No issues during rental

Cons: They push you to buy their insurance once you get to the office which is off the airport. You get presented with 2 options - 1 buy their insurance (which costs more than the rental itself and non refundable) or leave a large deposit (€2800) and you have to cover any damage for the car. They also take €100 in case of any fines. Overall I spent most of my week worrying about the car. It was quite stressful. Read reviews before booking.

Cons: I don't like that the fuel tank isn't full at pick up, so you don't know how much you should put in when dropping off. Therefore twice I got vouchers for putting more fuel into the car ( about AU$100). However, it can be used only next time when I rent DIRECTLY from Klass Wagen - which is at the higher rate and may never happen as I'm from Australia. I feel that is not fair. Could rent the car for a month only initially, so when I wanted to extend prices were much higher, unacceptable for me.

The price of their 'full insurance' is a joke, almost twice as the price as your rental. Even worse, how aggressively they are trying to sell that cover. Showing you pictures of a small dent saying that something like that will cost you $600 to repair! Seriously? It's time to look for alternative options.

Cons: I was not happy that they didn't go with Discover Cars contract. They agreement between Discover Cars and the rental car companies needs to be improved greatly. Or stop the agreement altogether. So renters are not left thinking they have no choice but to ignore the previous agreement and go with the rental companies agreement. Overall Klass Wagen is a good company to deal with aside from the previous comments.

Instead the price I got from the website 407.45 CAD , I should pay 438 EUR ! Because the KW did not want ro rent me the car, that I was offered by discoverecars website , I rejected it and cancelled my booking. I rented the car with a different provider at the airport.

It would be more assured having full casco but the rates are bit exagerated, it feels like they want to make their profit via the 'casco insurance

Cons: The language barrier and the costs are different to what is advertised on the website. Massive smelly spill in the boot of the car; someone had attempted to clean it previously, but it was still obvious. The car wasn't filled with petrol as I was told, but I returned it with the same amount of petrol missing was it was ok. The car has an automatic lane sensor that can't be turned off, which is unhelpful on highways when frequently changing lanes.

You should also consider one thing when renting a car from Klasswagen Hungary. If you get a car with a Romanian licence plate (40 per cent of their cars are registered in Romania) you will pay double the price for fuel since cars registered outside Hungary do not benefit from the fuel price cap introduced by the Hungarian government.
