Europcar is one of the largest car rental suppliers in Amsterdam Schipol Airport. The French company offers a large number of vehicles of different classes to arriving travelers. The car can later be dropped off either back at the airport, at Amsterdam city center (which is about 9 km or 5.6 mi northeast of the airport), or in another Dutch or European city. The most popular one-way rentals from Amsterdam are Brussels in Belgium, Eindhoven in the Netherlands, and Frankfurt in Germany.

Cons: The agent doesn't check car when I got it and asked me to review it and take pictures for all of the defects, even if I asked him to review it with me and write every scratch that the car have. When I dropped it the agent asked about a scratch at the rear side. I needed to provide him a picture that the scratch was there in the first place instead that they will document it when I got the car.

Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: € 1250.00), Theft Protection, Third Party Liability (TPL), Free modifications.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 19 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 25.

There is no maximum age.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.

For driver licenses from countries not party to the International Driving Permit treaty, an official translation of the license must be presented with the original license.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if it is accompanied by a regular driver's license, is issued by an official authority or government-authorized organization, and is in physical (not digital) form.

In order to pick up the car, the following documents are required: valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, Passport or ID card, booking voucher.

A digital driver's license will not be accepted — you must bring your physical driving license.
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age), Winter tires.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.

Delivery/Collection service is available only by previous request.
Delivery/Collection service is available within city limits. Additional charges will be applied, depending on the distance.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Additional information
Winter tires are not mandatory in Netherlands.
The use of snow chains is not allowed on public roads.
The vehicle must be returned in an acceptably clean condition in order to avoid additional charges.
Business hours
The supplier will hold the vehicle for 59 minutes after your scheduled pick-up time as long as it is within their normal business hours. After this time, your booking may be canceled without refund.
