Cons: I collected the car 1 hrs 40 mins early, I was charged 42 auz dollars, even though the car was ready and couldn't be rented to anyone else. This has never happened before on any of my previous dozen or so rentals.

Cons: I booked a car rental with East Coast Cars through Discoverscars.com and based on the confirmation I receivedI was of the understanding that the total amount I would pay when picking up the car would be AUD 170, and this included cover for third party, fire and theft with no excess. When I arrived at East Coast Car Rentals however they said that there would be $4400 excess!!!!!! And if I wanted to avoid this I would need to pay another $170!! What a rip off!!! Will never use them again!!!!

Pros: They were efficient in checking me in and when I returned the car.

Cons: I was surprised about the large deposit ($1,000, unusual when compared to other car rental companies). Also, being off-airport premises, it took some time to get to the location and back to the airport.

Cons: Picking up the car took an hour. The two people picking up cars before me took 30 mins each to complete the process. It seemed that nothing was digitised and the process was very manual, despite having entered all details when booking the car online.

Cons: At drop off no effort was made to load our bags into the back of the wagon we were told brusquely "load your bags up" by the man that inspected the car (not by the bus driver who was very nice)

Pros: Lovely little car, and good service. If you are heading north or west, the pick up location is on the way out of Adelaide, but coming back involves several tricky turns to get back in and have to detour i heavy traffic to get to a petrol station.

Cons: They send a shuttele to pick up at Adelaide airport but the pick up location at the Adelaide airport is confusing to find, and a bit of a walk with luggage. On my first call I was not given clear instructions. Also a bit of a wait to be picked up and then driven to car rental office. My plane was already delayed so this slowed down the process further

Pros: We booked a car seat for our toddler. It was not installed when we arrived, and took ages which delayed us significantly. We were then very unhappy with the quality of the seat fitting - the people doing it told us they had no training and no idea what they were doing. This is a huge safety issue.
