Cael
Cael is a car rental company operating in the southern European nation of Portugal, one of the continent’s most beloved travel destinations. In Portugal, the company has offices in the capital city, Lisbon, the northern city of Porto, and in the popular southern holiday region of the Algarve where it serves its capital and largest city, Faro.
Cael’s history goes all the way back to 1958. The current owning families acquired it in 1963 when it was a small company with only a handful of cars. They would start renting to tourists soon after, which the company specializes in to this day.
With so much experience in the industry and the Portuguese market specifically, it’s no surprise that the company is highly rated by our customers. The company won our Excellent Car Rental Service Award in both 2023 and 2024 for all of its locations — Downtown Lisbon, Lisbon Airport, Faro Airport, and Porto Airport.
