Pros: Very helpful and friendly staff, brand new car, ease of leaving the airport and returning the car.
Cons: The queue to be served was ridiculous. It took nearly 90 minutes to collect our car. There has to be a better way. We were fortunate that the weather was overcast otherwise we'd have been sunburnt.
Pros: I find it hard to say much, other than the car was clean and there was no queue when I dropped it off.

Pros: Car was covered in multiple dents and scratches/scuffs. They were x on the rental agreement but how you would know which ones were which is beyond me

Cons: I tried to extend my reservation but could not over the phone or online - most unimpressed. I had to go to the nearest office to do so, which is a 4.5 hour round trip, probably costing me about £50 in fuel and tolls.

Cons: Difficult to find. The under which I rented the car was not prominent. Warning lights were on to reset the tyre pressure and the lane warning did not work. Windscreen was her reservoir was empty.
Pros: The original vehicle had a broken light when I picked it up for which the rep was very apologetic.
Pros: Had to run around the airport looking for ace, when they are actually gold cars!!! Queued for one and half hours!!! Wish we hadn’t booked online and gone with another well known car hire provider

Cons: Attitude of staff to excess insurance cover at desk Car was covered with scratches - too many to check all were on sheet Staff at car was reluctant to add more crosses to form where car was parked when identified Staff on return rejected offer to check car with me. They were not with customers simply chatting. Added £260 - the same as excess to final bill once we had gone through security so no recourse Multiple scratches made it impossible to say I had added one - which I had not.

Pros: It was a great price for a good car. Staff were easy to deal with.
Cons: The pick up was quite involved. There was a hard sell of the extra cover and when you didn't take it (even when you had excess cover off another supplier) it was seen as an issue. On returning the car two people did a check just to be sure they could catch anything.even when the car given out had damage all around it and on three wheels. That said, the car was good, just a bit older and marked. I would use them again because of value for money.
Cons: Goldencar onsist on you buying extra insurance even though we have an annual policy.
Cons: The very hit and miss process and accuracy of identifying any previous damage to the car. There were several very large marks/dents that were not already marked on the diagram of the vehicle. If we had not had been diligent enough and patient enough to return to the desk we would have most likely been held responsible. This would imply that one of the previous check-ins had not been performed properly or more cynically they were not marked on purpose.
Cons: I wished the tyres pressure were checked before we picked up the car as one of them were very low (0.9 instead of 2.3) as we were travelled at night for a long distance, it was a bit stressful. But apart from the experience was positive.
Pros: The car was good.
Cons: Goldcar are a liability. They lied about our 3rd party insurance being invalid, in a lame attempt to sell us theirs in addition. They took a larger deposit than we were expecting, and are STILL clinging onto it a full 2 weeks after we dropped the car off (undamaged and fully-fueled). Their own contract states that they keep it a maximum of 8 working days! Basically it's a week before Xmas and these idiots have blocked over 1200 Euros on my credit card!!

Cons: Although the ACE booking confirmation stated the vehicle would be provided by Rhodium the counter staff were all from Goldcar. The agent was extremely aggressive & pushy re taking there upgraded insurance. I stated I didn't require as I have my own excess insurance but I got all the usual rubbish about not inclusive etc. When it came to processing the balance of the bill for hire and security deposit rather than blocking my credit card with the deposit the full amount had been charged.

Cons: Undisclosed added insurance of €95 to cover damage which could have been up to €1200. Impression that all damage... Seen or unseen at time of collection including previous damage would be charged to us so felt had to pay high premium to avoid even higher costs which might not have been our fault. Not obvious where desk in terminal was with tiny sign saying Ace
Pros: Agent in charge of the parking lot and who handled my drop off was very efficient
Cons: Although the desk assured me the vat had been checked and was with no scratches and bumps, i found 2 by myself that where big enough to be notified. I may have been made responsible for those and charged if i had not doubled checked. Feels wrong.
Cons: when booking online I paid for the car hire, extra full coverage insurance plus an additional driver. When collecting the car I was told that booking online doesn't count and I need to re-buy the insurance which was actually more than 5 times the price of the additional policy I had already bought when booking, then they re-charged me for additional driver as they said I shouldn't do that via the website (but I had as it was offered!) - second duplicate charge!!! totally DISHONEST!!!!!!!!!!!
Pros: Good car.
Cons: Couldnt take deposit by amex or any card outside booking name. Meant we paid much more than expexted to gwt full insurance so i didnt need to exchnage throusands of pounds for a deposit. It was still good value but left a poor experiance.
Cons: I paid in advance for full insurance with full coverge, without self payment. When i arrived i paid another 107 euro for the same insurance!!! Ao that everything will be covered. Felt decived and would advice not to use this agency.

Cons: Ace wasnt Ace - couldnt find the desk on pick-up because you are broker and the actual company was Goldcar We had already bought insurance but were sold more insurance, its just unneccssary and causes us to have to stand at the desk for an extra 10 minutes listening to the spiel

Cons: upsold insurance as a complete con, otherwise had to give them £1100 on my credit card that they may refund in 8 days and was told any scratch would be £500 charge. Absolute con for the £90 insurance, would never use them again and would tell everyone else to avoid them
Cons: It wasn’t great. I arrived at 23:32 as my flight was late and was told that as it was after 23:30 I’d have to pay another £40. Having already paid extra for insurance with discovery I was told that if I wanted to be fully covered I’d need to pay another £108. Car was fine as was hand back but the initial experience was poor.
Cons: Returns agents were incredibly rude, got stung with and extra £108 charge when picking up the car.
