Fabulous, comfortable and clean car.
Unfortunately we were not told our car had a GPS so struggled with directions leaving Auckland.
When we did find it had a GPS, it was out of date and we still struggled to find the main airport office.
That being said, New Zealand is a beautiful country and we were able to do some lovely scenic drives whilst staying in Paihia.

Four days north island, six days south island. Gorgeous! There is dispute as to whether rental cars can be taken on the ferry from the north to south (or vice versa). Go Rentals said it was fine to do so, but others said it is not, so please due your homework! We did not take the chance - we rented a car on the north island and dropped it off in Wellington, then rented a new car in Picton in the south island after the ferry. Plus the ferry is much cheaper just as a passenger and not having a car.
