Mainly used for trips to beach, town and Evangelista Monastery. My accommodation was situated up a steep hill, so the car was essential for daily use.

If you'd like to explore all the island it may be worth considering a 4X4 car as the roads on the north side of the island are not tarmac. Some are also very steep. These dusty and at time rutted roads may be driven with more confidence in such a vehicle. BUt that said we managed by driving carefully in a regular car.
