• Sir Thomas Brisbane Planetarium. Located in the Brisbane Botanic Gardens, the planetarium honors the astronomical pioneer and one of the first explorers of the Southern Skies. A Scottish officer and explorer, he also gave the name to the city itself. • Glass House Mountains National Park. Home to the Glass House Mountain Range, eucalyptus woodlands, and volcanic plugs, this national park is a perfect place for a day outdoors.
