Pros: Car was clean
Cons: Address given was difficult to follow in the airport. When we did find the Thrifty office it was shut. After ringing the contact number we were directed to Hertz. The collection took over 30 mins to complete and we were then directed to a shuttle bus to take us to the car pick up. This didn’t arrive for 25 mins. When we eventually got to the pick up area we waited nearly one hour for our car to be ready. Over ten other customers arrived and had their car handed over before us. Took over 3 hours
Pros: The agent at the airport was patient and helpful for us.
Cons: I reserved a "Standard SUV". Upon check-in, the agent advised me that they had already rented out all cars except for "Premium SUVs". Thrifty said that they don't offer any insurance for their Premium SUVs so we would be forced to give a deposit of $14,000 USD. There was no option for us to avoid giving this deposit, even if we had our own insurance. This is unacceptable. We did not pick up a car from Thrifty.
Pros: It was not Thrifty, the company was Herzt…. You must to inform, we spend time trying to find Thrifty
Cons: Herzt was good, but the final price of our rental was 365€, and my total with discover was 318,45€ with total insurance. When we were in Herzt, they told us that we contract total insurance with Discover but not with Herzt, and our insurances was minimum
Pros: A few of the reps were pleasant.
Cons: Shit company and will never use them nor this website again. Check out was painfully long, check in even worse as they spent hours going over the car to look for even the most minute flaw so they could try to charge me. Absolute shit show and will never be back.
Cons: It is not clear that Thrifty is actually part of Hertz and you need to go to their counter. When I showed them the agreement I have with DiscoverCars they did not honour that pricing and said that I need to take up the complaint with DiscoverCars. I rented for longer than 30 days and DiscoverCars said it would be fine, the initial rental agent said that all I would need to do is visit another Thrifty and extend the contract, in actual fact the first contract had to be completed and a new one rai

A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 25.
There is no maximum age.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.
The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.
A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.
In order to pick up the car, the following documents are required: passport, valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, booking voucher, return flight ticket.
The exact deposit is determined on pick up since the amount is dependent on the type of vehicle.
It is possible to pay and leave the deposit only with the following payment methods: MasterCard credit card, VISA credit card, American Express credit card.
Only cards issued in the main driver's name are accepted.
The main driver must provide a physical payment card in their name with enough funds to cover the deposit to pick up the car. The rental company will neither accept virtual credit cards (e.g., GooglePay or ApplePay) nor someone else’s card (including family members).
Crossing country borders is allowed to the following country: USA.
Using a ferry is allowed on the previous request and for an additional charge with special permission from the car rental company.

In the event that Cross Border & Territorial Restrictions are violated, all protections lose their validity.

There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.
Certain additional drivers are subject to both an Additional Driver fee as well as either a Young Driver or Senior Driver fee.
If the renter would like to extend the rental period, renter should return to the car hire office at the end of the rental period to sign a new agreement.
