Stoutes Car Rental at Bridgetown Airport

Pros: excellent service

Cons: already purchased full insurance coverage through Discover Cars, but was asked if we needed to purchase insurance through Stoutes. That's not right. unsuspecting clients might purchase insurance again. Not right.

Cons: The condition of the car. Ants nest in the bonnet. Damage on every panel. Tyres were probably illegal with very little tread. Brakes worn, shocks/suspension horrendous. The whole car needs a full service and plenty of parts replaced.

Cons: A real issue I had with this rental was the type / class / size of the car. I specifically paid for a car that could cater for 4 passengers and 2 suitcases, as this is the space that would cater for my party and the baggage we had. The car that we were given was a Kia Picanto - a lovely car but could not fit a single suitcase in the boot - neither carry on size or full size. It could just about fit our child’s pushchair!! I will follow this up with an email to your customer services.

Cons: I didn't like that I had to get insurance twice as the process seemed complicated to put in a claim if necessary. the rep explained that I would need to pay the claim and then try and claim from the company that I used on line to order the car and that it was easier to make a claim through them if I needed to therefore take their insurance.

Cons: Although a new Toyota the car did not have Isofix for our car seat so we were reliant on using one supplied by them at extra cost which was not as secure as it should have been. Was told that Isofix is something they only have on their "bigger" cars and none was available. Car also had quite a bit of superficial damage (all wheels heavilly scuffed, scratches and dents etc.) and was extremely basic.
