Netherlands
Volkswagen Polo
5/10/26

Pros: Friendly staff

Cons: When picking up the car, the "pre-inspected" report provided by the staff failed to mention several pieces of obvious body damage. We aren’t talking about minor surface scratches; there were clear dings and scuffs that any professional should have caught within thirty seconds of walking around the vehicle. Why This Is Concerning The lack of attention to detail during the hand-off is a major red flag for any traveler.

Renault Kwid
3/6/26

Cons: The reception agent charged me for the additional insurance even though I had clearly told her that I didn’t need it because I am covered through my card (Visa Premier credit). She then told us we would have an automatic vehicle instead of a manual one and charged us for the vehicle change that she imposed on us.
United Kingdom
Renault Kwid
2/28/26

Pros: Overall, very happy with the service that I received - would certainly recommend - pick up and drop off all went as I would have hoped, and the car met my expectations and did the job while we travelled around the Cape region.
United Kingdom
Renault Kwid
2/24/26

Pros: Clean car in great condition.

Cons: Tried to sell additional insurance by scaring me.
Australia
Volkswagen Polo
1/24/26

Cons: Pickup vehicle had temporary registration plates that expired before my last day of rental which meant I had to waste my holiday time to get that rectified. The initial vehicle had a broken parcel shelf where the vehicle was changed to another with the same issue and in poor condition full of scratches and dents. The second vehicle also reeked of cigarette smoke and had rattles when driving. This was a very poor rental experience from start to finish

Pros: On pickup we received different model, the first car wasn’t with full fuel tank and with one wheel missing air. We need to change car.

Cons: We received the car with big chip in the forward window, when we the drop the car they found another small chip. We drove only on highways and didn’t experience any stone that hit the window. We are now 2 days after drop off date and still haven’t received the deposit.

10/28/22

Pros: Actually it was First Car Rental that we dealt with. Representatives were polite, professional, but when it was clear that we did not book directly with First, they seemed to change their interest.

Cons: It seemed because we did not book directly with them, but went through Discover Car, they were not interested in us. Our paper work reflected a P/U Monday, Sept 26, 2022 at 9:00 AM. We called & notify we were running late. 11:00 AM local time we P/U the car and they started the time at 9:00 AM, Not 11:00 AM. Next, the first car they gave us had a terrible front vibration. They said to return to the airport and they would change out the car, that took 1.5 hours. 4 hrs into the lease at AP
