SIXT at Gold Coast Airport

Pros: Car was okay

Cons: It was slow picking up the car and no one was there to accept the car on returning

Pros: Car was in great condition, friendly staff member who handed over the keys and very easy to drop off. Only thing I would say that wasn't great was the fact that I had already prepaid for insurance so should have just paid for the cost of car rental but he charged me again for car insurance and said that it should get refunded soon. Dropped the car off a week later and that money still hadn't been refunded so now waiting for that plus the $200 deposit.

Pros: They were fine but Discovery cars didn’t make it clear about the extra insurance not covering the damage deposit and if there was a crash.. we would have to front up the excess.

Cons: SixT was fine. Discovery cars was not very clear.

Cons: We weren’t overall impressed with the hire car itself… a mg. It was very sluggish and not overly responsive when trying to accelerate particularly in situations like overtaking or having to accelerate quickly like when merging into traffic etc

Cons: We are extremely disappointed with the vehicle that we hired for our recent trip on the gold coast. During our hire we were advised that the car was recalled and that it was to be returned asap and that we would receive a call. No call was made to us and I attempted to follow up on several occasions and could not get through (on hold) On the last day of our trip we noticed the state of the tyres on the MU-X. Cons: As my first comment - need to have the ability to add an extra driver in an emergency situation. How ridiculous to expect people to driver 2hours with a sick person to get another driver added - especially when in an extremely remote destination. Not helpful at all.

Pros: I never recieved the car I booked, I booked the Hyundai 3 months prior and gave me a different car that I really hated driving. As a result a paid for a car that I never recieved and ended up with a terrible car to drive and only drived it for 250kms in 5 days because I never could drive it because it's terrible to drive. Paid for 5 days only used it for 1 day's worth

As a result a paid for a car that I never recieved and ended up with a terrible car to drive and only drived it for 250kms in 5 days because I never could drive it because it's terrible to drive. Paid for 5 days only used it for 1 day's worth. Waste of $$$ for me it was = a lost of $$$ equivalent to 4 days lost out of my pocket because I couldn't drive it more often.

Cons: I really don’t like how you have a $400 deposit which is taken out immediately from your account but when it’s time for you to put it back into my account T it takes 3-5 business days. If you can take it out that quick it should be Instantaneous to our back. Also I have no idea how my friend received the invoice for the car that has never hired from you before.

Pros: They were very professional, happy staff, and treated me like an adult that does the right thing! :)

Cons: It's only minor, but their location is a bit far from the departure section of GC airport. Maybe they could have a key drop-off in the return bay area.

Cons: Had to wait until exactly 7.30am to pick up the keys even though staff were onsite earlier, while other rental places were already operational.

Cons: Because I booked through a third party the sixt rep had to give me the news regarding the $400 hold on my credit card which wasn’t disclosed to me.

The website says any people woth Driver’s License except L can drive the car, when we went there and I am P platter the staff said i cannot drive the car, but didnt state in the website policy. Lucky we habe friends with us who are full license.
