SIXT at Shannon Airport

Pros: I’ve raised a complaint with customer services at SIXT but have had no response.

Pros: Fast and efficient

Cons: Nothing

Pros: easy to get car at airport was most important

Cons: nothing to say here

Pros: Handles reservation on line and everything we asked for was provided at pick up. Asked to change drop off location and was handled quickly and profressionally.

Cons: Seat had some sort of sticky liquid that had dried on. It was on the drivers headrest and all over the back seat. We didn’t use the backseat so it wasn’t a big deal. Inspection process needs to be stepped up

Pros: Professional, knowledgeable of the area we were visiting and efficient (Didn't waste our time trying to upsell).

Cons: The drop-off point was closed when I returned the vehicle. Therefore I had to wait (and trust the inspection crew wouldn't charge me for preexisting conditions) to get the final settlement cost. Otherwise a great experience overall.

Pros: Again service was terrible! Lost a whole day of vacation when we had engine problems. No one came from roadside assistance. I had to drive car out of my way with the engine problem. Then was given a lesser car and the check engine light came on within 25 miles of driving it! No refund. No contact from customer service! The first car given had a busted tail light and others major scratches in several places on body of car. Hadn’t been washed.

Pros: Dealing with the SIXT agent was a great experience.

Cons: More sign posts are needed around Dublin airport to indicate drop-off area

Cons: The front right brake rotor was in need of replacement when I got the car

Pros: The agent was very friendly and helpful. We got a nice new car.

Cons: We had to change the first car, because it hadn't been cleaned poperly. Also, the second car had some cleanliness issues, although it was better.

Pros: Counter person was friendly

Cons: I paid a premium price for a very basic can. 420.00 per day. I expect a full tank of gas. A van free of scratches and dents. A van that would function safely for 11 days. None of these things occurred.

Cons: There was no service. I wasn't allowed to rent the authorized car

Pros: The Sixt employee was friendly, courteous and helpful.

Cons: The employee went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of and happy with our rental.

Cons: 1) Wiper blades (rubber refills had worn out)! 2) Only one person at return location, he had to handle the returns and shuttle people back to the airport...thus waiting too long for the shuttle to depart while he dealt with returns. 3) Charges (blocking) to credit card were many and confusing. For example South County Self Drive!! The M50 toll is 3.50 Euro. Sixt auto charges 3.95Euro. This is blatant price gouging.

Pros: Friendly service

Pros: All check in was great. Very easy.

Cons: The drop off was confusing. Drop off site not open, had to leave car in short-term lot, told I'd get a receipt within the hour and now over 24 hours later, I don't have a receipt.

Pros: Sixt was great. It was quick and efficient. The insurance issue is always confusing.

Cons: The back two tires on the car were pretty bald. Otherwise it was in great shape and clean.

Pros: The pick up and drop off were easy and both branches were very helpful.

Cons: However, the amount they had blocked on my credit card for the agreed price of and the extra Euro 100/- in case of car returned without full fuel tank have not been processed. I returned car on 17th and today is 21st; they have not yet replied to my email.

Pros: there was only one person at the desk, the process takes a while and so I had to wait. No one wants to wait coming off a delayed flight with a 4 year old to entertain.

Cons: I have not received money for the fuel in the car.

Pros: Our pick up agent was awesome and very informative. We also appreciate the ease of having the car picked up when an issue happened at the hotel the night before departure.

Cons: I didn't have any issues with Sixt Car rental.

Pros: everything! We were tired and anxious and they were friendly and explained everything about driving in Ireland

Pros: Efficient helpful staff at Shannon Airport, Ireland. Mark at Shannon was especially helpful.

Pros: The two gentlemen checking us in were helpful and friendly, the car was clean and affordable, the insurance and roadside assistance were great to have, and the gentleman collecting our car and dropping us back to the airport (Mark) was incredibly helpful.

Cons: I wish they had gone over a little about the actual working of the car. There were things that I didn't learn about the car until near the end of the trip that would have come in handy earlier on. For instance, I didn't know if I plugged my phone into a certain USB port that navigation from my phone would appear on the car's screen.

Pros: Both service providers -at the beginning and end of my trip- were excellent. I think the young man at the drop off desk was Matthew, but not positive.

Cons: There was a very long line waiting to pick up cars when a full plane arrived from the U.S. Only one agent was at desk who had trouble figuring insurance for a customer, making five customers wait half an hour. There should be two agents to prevent this kind of wait when arrivals occur.

Pros: Especially commend the gentleman who helped us with our car collection - extremely helpful and pleasant, and went out of his way to ensure all was well. Please thank him from us again.

Pros: Easy to find for key collection and car parked in adjacent carpark to airport, super easy.

Pros: They were flexible and helpful when we had to extend our hire period

Pros: Online service was easy, pick up was a disaster.

Cons: Nothing in 4 pages of contract said I could not take car from Ireland to Scitland.
