Easirent at Shannon Airport

Pros: Efficient and good value

Cons: Was charged €40 late fee on pick up as flight was delayed by an hour

Pros: The only good thing was the guy that answered the phone who did at least try hard to help. He was great, but I ended up paying €14 to get a bus to Galway then €50 for a taxi to Craughwell - as well as having paid €27 to rent a car that didn't exist. Very expensive and very late arriving where I needed to be.

Cons: There was no actual car!

Pros: Car was in good condition and the staff were friendly. When they dropped me at the airport I realised I had left my phone in the car and they returned to give it to me which I massively appreciated.

Cons: The rental place is off site which is a bit more of a pain but worth it for the costs saved in my option.

Cons: Easirent gave away the car I booked because my flight was 1 hour and 5 mins late. We were left in Shannon airport with no way to get home at 1am on a Friday night.

Pros: Zhaid was great. He made sure everything was in order and got us on the road quickly.

Cons: I didn't realize that the pick up was in Shannon town and not Shannon airport. That was my own fault to not pay attention to that. It meant that it took a little longer to get the car. Easirent provided pick up service from the airport to their office.

Pros: Our car was released without even a phone to check we were on our way. Our flight was delayed and no one checked this before releasing our car

Cons: Horrendous experience ! Don’t ever use them. It cost us double what we were paying to get a car at the last minute

Cons: When I arrived to pick up the car the machine would not take the deposit so the man said we needed to pay a refundable fee which was nearly 300euro. This has not been refunded and we have now been told that this was for additional insurance and is non-refundable

Cons: I was left at airport without a shuttle. Was transferred to an extension with nobody to pick it up and a voicemail that was not accepting messages. When I called back main number they would not pick up my call.

Pros: Second time that I rented with them. The first one was better.

Cons: The car didn’t have a spare wheel, or the security safety system that help you to arrive to the mechanic, they needed to take it up from another car, and tbh not sure if it would works on the car that I was.

Cons: Long wait for transfer bus. Long time at desk when got there Fuel policy-my agreement clearly stated full to full, but the car was only half full and they said to ring me at the same. Not an issue as such, but when I pointed out the representative was quite rude about this and said to take up with the agent that I booked with. I also pointed out that when I was clicking my agreement on the computer, they stated gull to full but they said this was wrong. I was not impressed with the rudeness

Pros: Agent did not know we wanted a 9 passenger vehicle. He gave the one he used to ferry people to/fm airport. Not clean, only 1/4 tank of gas and 100,000 miles on it. Did not feel safe.

Cons: Due to changes in my itinerary turned car in one day early and got no credit. Says it is in terms and conditions. Knew before I left on my trip that my itinerary changed and tried to call customer service to make change. No one ever picks up

Cons: I confirmed my drop off time and time I needed to be at the airport. I was told the day before to be at the office at 7:30am . When I got there, nobody was there. I called and they said they were at the airport and would be there in 15 min. They knew I needed to be AT the airport by 8am. When they arrived at 7:45, they told me they had to help someone else and to just go to the airport and leave the car. It ended up working out, but wasn't a good experience for me

Pros: Professional and polite service from the first phone call to dropping of the car. We arrived in shannon airport and missed the shuttle bus but a car was sent to collect us straight away. Hiring and dropping of the car was so easy. Very pleased and will definitely use again . Drivers were pleasant and helpful. Thank you once again, Michael moloney

Pros: Nothing. The Easirent employee was extremely rude and in the end did not hand over the car I rented. I never got to collect or drop off the car, I don't know if the car was clean or in a good overall condition.

Cons: I have never had a bad experience like the one with Easirent with any other car rental company anywhere in Ireland or the rest of Europe and I have been renting cars in Ireland every year for the past 20 years.

Cons: They gave me a different grade car than originally booked, 1 grade down from what was booked as they had no other car available. They never told me this and still took the payment for the higher grade car. I noticed this as the car was brought to the front door after payment, it was a much smaller car than booked but the Easirent agents were happy to just pull try and pull the wool over my eyes and hope I didn't notice. They didn't refund the difference. The car had no fuel cap, disgraceful.

Cons: Upon bringing the car back on our departure day, there was only one staff member at the office. He, himself, had to shuttle a third of our group of 11 back to the airport, then complete the other two journeys due to our number and comlete the admin. This left us being delayed getting back to the airport and this is a horrid feeling. I cannot understand why there were not two or more members of staff there. We could also have taken ourselves back to the airport and cars collected there.

Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful and when I was eventually picked up the service was great.

Cons: I had to wait for 40minutes at the airport after 3 phone calls, and it really wasn’t clear what I had to do when I got out of the airport.!
