Pros: Car was just as I expected for a two month old car.

Cons: Didn’t really explain the collection and return process and I found I had an extra debit on my account, over and above the rental, for which I am still waiting for an answer. The fuel was on a full to full basis and I suspect they charged for fuel, even though I filled the tank just before I returned the car. I don’t know how they could have squeezed in more fuel, unless they filled to the brim, which is a dangerous practice.

Pros: The staff were super accommodating and friendly. There was a problem with the first car I picked up and they were more than willing to assist in finding a more suitable car and swapped out. Everyone knew who I was and that I came in to change the car from a simple call before. Really unbelievable and friendly service.

Cons: I dont like the amount that is held to rent the car. I think the amount you all hold compared to the states is unfair and that you dont participate in the rewards programs that the states have for the EXACT same company but yet you hold a larger amount to rent a car. Knowing that we cant run off with the car being that we are out of the country. So unfair.

Cons: Firsly gave us a car with one bald tyre with no tread on, during a rainstorm! Then, when they replaced it, gave us a half full tank of petrol and took the original car half full and charged us for the fuel refill. After querying and showing evidence we had to pay to fill up the replacement car, they only refunded some of the money.

Rate includes
Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: ~€ 650.00), Theft Protection, Contract fee, Third Party Liability (TPL), Airport surcharge, Tourism levy, State Tax.
Mileage policy
For international renters, mileage is unlimited.
A local renter is defined as a renter who is a resident of South Africa.
For local renters mileage is limited to 200 km per day.
The cost for additional mileage (mileage extension) depends on the vehicle type.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 18 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 25.

There is no maximum age.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit. Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.
Local renters must pass a Findex credit check to pick up the car.

In order to pick up the car, the following documents are required: voucher, passport or ID, International Driving Permit and a valid credit card in the name of the renter.
Deposit and deductible policy
A deposit will be blocked on the customer's credit card until the end of the rental period. The deposit amount consists of 2000 ZAR plus the deductible/excess of 13000–32000 ZAR, depending on the car group.
Payment policy
At time of pick up, customers will be required to pay the amount of the rental and a deposit.
The following credit cards issued on the main driver's name are accepted: MasterCard, Visa, American Express. Any other cards or cash payments are not accepted.
For the Luxury, Premium car group, a minimum of two credit cards issued on the main driver's name are required.
Local customers are allowed to rent only if they agree to a credit check and the credit score is positive.

The main driver must provide a physical payment card in their name with enough funds to cover the deposit to pick up the car. The rental company will neither accept virtual credit cards (e.g., GooglePay or ApplePay) nor someone else’s card (including family members).
Cross-border policy
crossing country borders is available on previous request at least 48 hours before the pick up date.
Crossing country borders is allowed to the following countries: Botswana, Namibia.
Additional charges will be applied in case the car is crossing state or region borders.

crossing country borders is forbidden for certain car groups.
The Luxury, Minivan car group(s) may not be used for crossing country borders rentals.

In the event that Cross Border & Territorial Restrictions are violated, all protections lose their validity.
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: GPS Navigation system, Child seat (2-4 years of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age), Roadside Assistance Cover (RAC), Cross border fee.
Prices for extras are shown on the booking page.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.

Additional charges will be applied.
Delivery/collection service is available only within 25 km from the car rental office, by previous request and for an extra charge of 600 ZAR.
Delivery/Collection service for distances over 26 km is available for 15 ZAR per km.
Delivery/collection service outside of business hours is available only within 25 km of the car rental office, by previous request and for an extra charge of 750 ZAR.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Additional information

Driving restrictions will apply to certain locations. More information will be available at the rental desk.
Business hours
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 29 minutes.
