Cons: Terrible service. I tried 2 different times to talk to an agent in person at the Tamarindo office and there was no one there both times. My gps was in Dutch and I couldn’t navigate thru settings to change to English. Went to office for help . No one there and I was charged $550 for a system I was never able to use. I had a problem with tve driver door key . It wouldn’t lock. I we t to office ( drive an hour) . Sign in door “be back soon”. There was no parking/ I had a surfboard couldn’t park far
Pros: All representatives were very friendly and efficient
Cons: The car wasn’t put together very well at pickup, the trunk bed area is extremely noisy

Cons: Horrible rental experience. Had to stand out in the heat for 30 minutes before someone came to pick us up from the airport to the rental. Then took over an hour to rent the car even though it was empty. They charged us $200 extra fee for the car. They falsely marked there was a full tank of gas when there was only 3/4 and then when I brought it back at 7/8 they charged me $13. Horrible rental service would not recommend to anyone ever.
Pros: All the staff were courteous and knowledgeable. The shuttle was waiting for us both ends of our rental to get us from and back to the airport.
Cons: The interior of the vehicle appeared dusty and a bit beaten up when we got it. After driving in Costa Rica though I perhaps have a better understanding of why.
Pros: The agent was very pleasant but the paperwork took way too long.
Cons: The car had no cover for the boot area even though there should be. This was disappointing as we wanted to leave luggage in the car but because there was no cover the luggage was clearly in show and therefore unsafe. When we returned the car it was checked and the agent literally checked under the car and said there was damage there that wasn’t when we first received the car. As this was under the car it was an area we never checked and therefore we have no idea if this was already there.

Rental Conditions

A Young driver fee is not applied.
Maximum rental age is 75 years.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.
The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.
In order to pick up the car, the renter and each additional driver must present the following documents: valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, Passport or ID card, booking voucher.
The exact deposit is determined on pick up since the amount is dependent on the type of vehicle.
The following credit cards issued on the main driver's name are accepted: MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Diners. Any other cards or cash payments are not accepted.
The main driver must provide a physical payment card in their name with enough funds to cover the deposit to pick up the car. The rental company will neither accept virtual credit cards (e.g., GooglePay or ApplePay) nor someone else’s card (including family members).

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.
It is allowed to add up to 3 additional drivers.
Certain additional drivers are subject to both an Additional Driver fee as well as either a Young Driver or Senior Driver fee.
Delivery/Collection service is available only by previous request.
If the renter would like to extend the rental period, renter should return to the car hire office at the end of the rental period to sign a new agreement.
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 120 minutes.
