No longer the secret paradise island that it was decades ago, Ibiza is world-famous as one of the largest party hubs in Europe. While the DJs that frequent Ibiza’s nightclubs are definitely top-notch, the island boasts a wealth of other attractions that you would do well to check out on your visit. Here’s our pick of them:
- Beaches. “Party by night, relax on the beach by day” has been the island’s motto for eternity, and taking both parts of the advice is a significant part of a proper Ibiza experience. Despite the island’s small size, there is a wealth of spectacular coastline to choose from — visit the hip Las Salinas beach on the southern tip of the island, drive to the bohemian Benirras in the north or find your own favourite spot by travelling around the island in your car.
- Santa Eulària des Riu. A picturesque town on the island’s eastern coast, Santa Eulària is significantly more calm than Ibiza’s two larger settlements, Ibiza Town and Sant Antoni. Home to a charming parish church and waterfront, the town is a refuge for those yearning for a temporary break from the island’s nightlife. Located about 15 km (9 miles) from Ibiza Town, Santa Eulària takes 20 minutes to reach by car.
- Formentera. A small, idyllic island south of Ibiza, Formentera is one of Spain’s snorkelling hubs, with plenty of companies offering the opportunity to explore the Mediterranean underwater life. If you’re more comfortable on this side of the water surface, there are still plenty of beautiful beaches, impressive lighthouses, and hiking trails to check out, making Formentera a splendid day trip. Ask your car hire supplier in advance if they permit you taking a hired car to Formentera. Also, keep in mind that the number of tourist cars permitted to the island is limited during the months of July and August (of course, it’s also an option to leave the car at Ibiza’s port and pick it up again after returning to the main island).

The closest petrol station to Ibiza airport is about one to two miles from the airport in an industrial zone on the right hand side . When you see it from the main road you have gone to far .

Efficient process to check-in and arrange, and received a new reliable vehicle. Even though the Office is not on the airport site, it is not far away, and the shuttle bus was regular. It's possible to walk also (<10-15mins)

Don't look for a desk inside the airport at Ibiza. Head straight out the door towards departures and then on to the end of carpark 3. Lots of different companies minibuses waiting to pick up passengers at the end of the carpark, just look for the right one.
