I was on a skiing trip - the skiing was excellent, but the worry about the safety of the car on summer tyres when it was snowing and the roads were ice had an impact on overall enjoyment.

Bordeaux, chateaux, Medoc Marathon, lake and beach all very enjoyable. Beware of restaurant wine list pricing - 3,500 euro bottle tucked in amongst wines one tenth of that price.
