Ambala Rent a car at Nadi Airport

Pros: Very nice staff.

Cons: Not their fault that the system didn't update with car seat for toddler. But wish they would of gotten a car seat right then and there, rather us travel from Olosara back to Nadi. But I know car seats are not mandatory in Fiji but it felt comfortable and reassuring for us to have our toddler in a car seat.

Pros: It was a cheap rental. The car was a little old but did everything we needed.

Cons: They met us and took us to the car. They paid the parking toll. When I rang them they answered the car and were there for the drop off.

Cons: only a quarter tank of fuel would have preferred full to full.

Cons: We picked the car up on dark, not that it was a major problem, but it would have been nice to have been told the car had a broken taillight instead of us finding out the next morning

Pros: quick pickup, quick drop off, agents were there, polite & helpful, car was good too but from 2nd day, there were display issues, see service issues.

Cons: we faced service issues on dash display that car needed maintenance - oil service etc, something we were not comfortable with at all. When we contacted the agent, Amit, via text, he said that it was just a mileage issue, warranting an oil service etc. Though we appreciate his prompt response, we were not comfortable with that display. We expect some sort of discount for that. Both agents (pick-up/drop off) dismissed the display issues quickly saying it was a regular thing.

Pros: The Ambala agent greeted us in the arrival area and walked us to the car in the airport parking lot

Cons: The drop-off took a little longer than expected because the agent needed to come pick up the car at the hotel where we were staying. This took a little coordination and waiting, but in the end, it all worked out great

Cons: Rental cars are refurbished and might not be in excellent condition. We had the car obviously from Japan since it has the Japan Islands and were in Japanese. Had to guess which button to press and couldnt figure out where the language settings is.

Cons: We have to keep heating up the car for long time in the morning otherwise if we don't it keep jumping while driving . Also the petrol was nearly finished when they drop the car off to us in the airport

Pros: Biggest fraud I have ever come across. They charged us $1500 for damages that was not even caused by us. Even though the police had details of the person who did a hit and run. When we refused to pay we were threatened that we will be reported to board police.

Cons: The car was poor quality and not good to drive. The paperwork and transaction happens in the Airport carpark which doesn't fill you with confidence, and the carpark fee has to be paid by the driver. The car had a spare wheel taking up space in the boot instead of luggage. Maybe this is "Fiji-style" car rental but there were a lot of rental cars we saw on our trip that were much nicer, and not just those of the big multinational firms.

Cons: Nothing wrong with the service at all. The car had a Japanese GPS system and we couldn't figure out how to use the radio, but mechanically it was all good.

Pros: They actually dropped my car to my hotel which was amazing. When I dropped the car back to the airport they were there within minutes to take the keys so I could get into the airport for my flight.

Cons: Not much to not like. If I had to kick something it’s that they implied the tyres were new and should not have any issues, but the tyres certainly were not new (not terrible but far from new) so I was paranoid the whole week about a tyre blowing and having to sort it out.

Cons: Having to pay if there was damage done even though I got full insurance. We we not told the car company on the other side would have a different name so we couldn’t find them for the pick up. There was a lot of damage on the car so I took photos.

Cons: The car we were given was old, not very well maintained and filthy, the car played up after 3 days. We contacted the company and were told to drive back to Nadi to exchange the car, I was very nervous to drive over 45 minutes in a car that kept misfiring, not surprised given the engine was filthy and should not be given to customers , we were given a newer car for our last day. Our drop off time for the car was 5pm, waited for over a hour for someone to collect, hardly any communication.
