Airport travel guide

- Latvian National Museum of Art. Centrally located and instantly recognizable for its beautiful facade, LNMM is one of the main art institutions of Latvia – and one of its main tourist draws. Located on the edge of the Esplanāde park and easily accessed from anywhere in the city center, the museum provides a comprehensive insight into all of the historic eras of Latvian art. Visit its official website to learn more.
- Riga Central Market. Having overcome its previously gritty reputation, Centrāltirgus is another increasingly popular tourist attraction, with foreigners making up a sizable portion of its visitors on any given day. Taking up a sizable chunk of territory between the Central Station and Daugava river, the market is especially interesting to visit during the summer when it is overflooded by all manner of seasonal produce originating in the Latvian countryside.
- Jūrmala. Known for its long, sandy beaches, the town of Jūrmala has long been a magnet for both the inhabitants and visitors of Riga. Located just a 30 minute drive from the Riga center, its blue flag beaches get very busy from June to August – for the rest of the year, visitors can enjoy its well-preserved wooden architecture and pay a visit to the Dubulti train station that doubles as an art gallery.
