T3 Terminal (Qantas): Exit the terminal, turn left, and cross at the pedestrian crossing to find the shuttle at the "Priority Pickup Area."

Once you have collected your luggage, call 1300 729 230 (for international customers call +61 3 6165 0838) and follow the prompts for shuttle bus pick up. Please allow up to 20 minutes for shuttle to arrive.
PROCEED TO SHUTTLE BAY FROM TERMINAL
FROM T1 - Exit the international terminal to the right and follow signs to (All Buses). Proceed to the shuttle pick up area, bays 12 - 21, which is across the road from the Rydges Hotel.
FROM T2 - (Jetstar/Virgin/Rex) exit T2 building to the left and proceed past the buses sign and cross the pedestrian crossing. Follow the sign to the Shuttles T2 and our shuttle service will arrive in bays 4 - 7.
FROM T3 - (Qantas) exit exit T3 building to the right and proceed across the pedestrian crossing to shuttle bays 4 - 7.

Pourquoi louer une voiture à Sydney ?
Sydney, avec ses 5,3 millions d'habitants, est souvent la première ville que découvrent les voyageurs en Australie. Pendant mon séjour là-bas, j'ai vite compris qu'avoir mon propre véhicule était un vrai atout pour explorer ses environs magnifiques.
Contrairement à ce qu'on pourrait penser, Sydney ne se résume pas à l'Opera House et Harbour Bridge. La région de Sydney s'étend sur des centaines de kilomètres carrés, et c'est en voiture que vous découvrirez ses multiples facettes, des plages du nord aux vignobles de Hunter Valley.
Vivre à Sydney m'a appris une chose : les transports publics sont corrects dans le centre, mais dès que vous voulez sortir des sentiers battus, la voiture devient nécessaire. Louer une voiture vous permettra d'accéder aux plages isolées de la côte nord, aux parcs nationaux des Blue Mountains, ou encore aux vignobles à quelques heures de route sans aucun problème, et en toute liberté.
Sydney s'étale énormément - de Bondi Beach au nord jusqu'à Cronulla au sud, il y a plus d'une heure de route ! Sans compter que certaines des plus belles plages comme Palm Beach ou les randonnées des Blue Mountains sont difficilement accessibles autrement qu'en voiture.

Sydney bénéficie d'un climat océanique tempéré avec des étés chauds (décembre-février) et des hivers doux (juin-août). La ville s'articule autour de son magnifique port naturel, avec le CBD au sud et de nombreuses banlieues qui s'étendent vers l'ouest et le nord.
Point important : Sydney est une ville chère, mais la qualité de vie y est exceptionnelle. Les distances peuvent être trompeuses - ce qui semble proche sur la carte peut prendre plus d'une heure en voiture à cause de la géographie complexe autour du port.
Principales attractions et activités
Évidemment, l'Opera House et Harbour Bridge sont incontournables - je conseille de les admirer depuis Mrs Macquaries Chair pour la vue parfaite. The Rocks vous plonge dans l'histoire de la ville avec ses ruelles pavées et son marché du weekend.

Le Royal Botanic Gardens est parfait pour une balade matinale, et Darling Harbour regroupe aquarium, musée maritime et restaurants.
Circulation et stationnement
Soyons honnêtes : conduire à Sydney peut être stressant, surtout aux heures de pointe (7h-9h et 17h-19h). Le trafic est dense et les Sydneysiders ne sont pas les plus patients ! Je recommande d'éviter le CBD aux heures de pointe.
Le stationnement coûte cher dans le centre : 6-8$ de l'heure en moyenne. Heureusement, la plupart des centres commerciaux offrent 2-3 heures gratuites. Attention aux zones de stationnement payant - les contrôleurs sont impitoyables !
