Together with its twin, Saint Paul, Minneapolis is one of the most interesting cities for travelers in the Midwest. • Weisman Art Museum. One of the main reasons why people visit this museum is its unique location. Despite now being 30 years old, the building by the architect Frank Gehry remains one of the most futuristic in all of the United States. Now located in a new, modern building that is part of the St. Paul Campus of the University of Minnesota, the museum is divided into sections dedicated to mammals, birds, fungi, and other forms of life, and it also has a planetarium. • Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge. Made up of 11 eleven smaller refuges and two visitors’ centers, this is the right place to have a first-person encounter with the fascinating nature of Minnesota. The nearest visitors’ center, in Bloomington, is immediately to the south of the international airport and just a 20-minute drive from downtown Minneapolis. Made up of marshes, woodlands, and lakes, the refuges are home to various fauna species like great blue heron, white-tailed deer, and the iconic bald eagle.

Terminals

Lindbergh Terminal 1 has seven concourses, lettered A to G, while Humphrey Terminal 2 consists of Concourse H. It isn’t possible to walk between the terminals, but a free shuttle train will take you from one to the other. There’s also a free shuttle bus for travelers with reduced mobility.

Location

Minneapolis-Saint Paul Airport is about 16 km (10 mi) from both central Minneapolis and central Saint Paul. Highway 55 is the main road connecting the airport to Minneapolis, and Highways MN-5 and I-35 are the main roads connecting the airport to Saint Paul, one of the most popular destinations near Minneapolis.

You’ll find many bars, coffee shops, fast food outlets, and restaurants. There is a wide variety of shops, including duty-free outlets, with most of them located in the airport mall shopping area in Terminal 1. Minneapolis-Saint Paul Airport also has ATMs, currency exchanges, children’s play areas, baby changing facilities, a games room, a pet hotel, a spa, water filling stations, mobile device charging stations, and an airport walking path. Nearest gas station

There is a Holiday station at the entrance to the International Terminal. It could be used for those heading to the domestic terminal, too.
