Global Rent a Car
Global Rent a Car is a brand for a network of local car hire companies in many countries, mainly in Europe. As a franchise, it is operated by different companies in different countries all under the single brand Global.
Global Rent-a-Car was launched by a German company in 2015. At the time, the company said the goal of launching it was “ to establish a healthy counterweight to the existing and dominant industry giants.”
Global has an extensive network of car hire points. The company has franchisees in many different European countries and Morocco. These include popular tourist destinations like Portugal (where they have locations in Lisbon and on the island of Madeira), Iceland, Greece (including Crete), Cyprus, Finland, Croatia, and Poland.
Quite a few of Global’s franchisees have excellent customer service. In fact, in many popular locations, they have been awarded our Excellent Car Rental Service award. This includes their franchisee locations at Salzburg Airport in Austria and Dubrovnik Airport and Split Airport in Croatia. Given its franchise model where different companies operate the brand in different countries, the level of service could vary slightly — but be assured the brand takes customer service seriously and monitors all of its franchisees to ensure that renters have the best experience possible.
