Budget at Dublin Airport

Pros: Nothing

Cons: Everything. Always a problem with North American insurance coverage credit cards with every rental company in Ireland

Pros: Return quite simple and easy.

Cons: Agent at pick not helpful at all, she couldn't be bothered to be a little bit friendlier. Fuel policy on invoice not clear, so when returning the car we had to ask if it needed to be returned full, then we had to drove out to fill it in, petrol station around the corner.

Pros: Staff are quite friendly

Cons: The cars are so old, with high kms and basic. Should be called rent-a-wreck. Upon returning the car out of hours it took me 20mins to find a vacant spot.

Pros: Slick from pick up point to returning car and being dropped off at terminal also agent at desk very polite and helpful perfect customer service

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Quick enough pick up and drop off. Make sure to take videos of the full car and all the dents and scratches. They almost got me as drop off.

Cons: How can a car in that state be able to offered as a rental. I'm also being charged on my car for some random payments. I will look into this.

Pros: Polite staff and helpful

Pros: Very efficient staff and helpful

Cons: None

Pros: polite, efficient, quick

Cons: nothing

Pros: It was efficient service

Pros: It was very busy but quick pick up and well organised

Cons: When we returned car, it felt like returns guys was going out of his way to find a scratch or bump on car, he was photographing the underside , luckily I had made a video when I collected it , and after some time agreed it was a pre-existing scratch.

Pros: It was very good value for money and very easy to navigate pick up and drop off.

Pros: Very Quick in Processing the rental and excellent value for money. Deposit was returned to credit card very fast!

Cons: The public toilets left a lot to be desired!

Pros: The coach service from the airport to the office of Budget and back was very good.

Cons: The lady who did the paper work to give us the car was not unfriendly but just did her job. We did not feel welcome.

Pros: Kind and helpful assistants. Good location services.

Cons: Car technical condition, it had bad noises I had to contact a garage, which took quite some time and nerve from me. Also the tires were quite worn and mixed types of pattern worrying. It was a stressful start, but after that it worked out well.

Pros: Smooth and efficient.

Cons: Some ambiguity about the total costs when compared with the quoted online price, which didn't include lots of the stuff that actually goes onto the total.

Pros: Easy process.

Cons: Always a long wait to pick up car. Although I had booked and paid for a compact car I was offered a smaller one when I checked in. There was no issue when I declined, however I felt it was a bit cheeky.

Cons: Big mix up at pick up. Overcharged me and therefore card was blocked and I needed funds.

Pros: Friendly efficient service

Pros: Efficient

Cons: Nothinh

Pros: Being able to collect the car from the terminal.

Cons: They still haven’t refunded me the deposit for damage.

Pros: Friendly

Cons: Time taken to collect car though this has improved

Pros: Quick service

Cons: Hidden extras

Pros: The agent that attended me was great. Very helpful and patient.

Cons: That I had to pay outstanding and excess all on one card.

Pros: Good price and efficient seevice

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Clear, efficient and friendly on pickup Clear and efficient on drop off

Cons: drop off personnel efficient but not personable

Pros: Friendly and efficient.

Cons: Nothing really.

Pros: The staff at Budget were first class.

Cons: I was allocated a 19 plate Vauxhall Astra. It had covered 125k km. There was a clutch judder when pulling away. I've mentioned this on a survey sent by Budget.

Pros: Smooth process

Cons: Nothing every thing was good

Pros: Friendly service

Cons: Nothing

Pros: We used Budget back in 2019. The person dealing with us back then was just awful so we weren't particularly looking forward to dealing with them again. However, on this occasion, the various people we dealt with were so much more pleasant, friendly, polite and helpful.

Cons: Our Car wasn't ready when we arrived, it was being cleaned. On getting our car, we noticed it was severely marked/scratched therefore, I took several photos as didn't want to be held responsible for any of the marks/scratches. I did advise the member of staff at Budget of how badly marked the vehicle was to which she advised taking photos and said it was the only car available. Having said that, the car drove well and was economical so that was good.

Pros: Friendly staff

Cons: Nothing

Pros: It was quick and easy.

Cons: I didn't bother me but the car could have been cleaner and had quite a few of scratches.

Pros: Quick

Cons: Difficult to find the bus… took a while to come 20 mins

Pros: they were really kind and upgraded our car following a problem with fellow travelers who forgot their driving license. It was quick, easy. They were great on return too after we had been involved in an accident (not our fault).

Cons: Everything was great

Pros: I felt our car was a lower grade than it should have been

Cons: As per previous comments

Pros: Very efficient

Cons: Would only comment car was high mileage but didn't cause any issues

Pros: Lady was quick and efficient.

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Drop off was very efficient

Cons: They wanted to charge £35 a day for insurance which is completely outrageous, greedy and takes advantage of customers who at that point have no other fully compliant insurance options… the cost would have been more than I pay for my annual insurance. The agent and her colleagues were not particularly pleasant to deal with when I complained. A tip for them would have been to empathise… they didn’t, they clearly showed that the didn’t care. it would put me off ever using budget again

Pros: Staff were lovely and very efficient

Cons: The car was not worth the rental cost. It was like a car from the 1980s. I booked a small car - would have expected Ford Fiesta, VW Polo, Kia Rio. Dachia was some kind of sub brand and not suitable for modern driving.

Pros: Fast easy and efficient

Cons: Bus was a long wait not a concern really

Cons: Not explaining about payments correctly

Pros: The email about directions for returning the car made much sense than directions from office and leaflet.

Cons: Perhaps a lack of understanding the dublin accent, but did not understand clearly the directions for collecting the key initially. The staff were helpfulish, seemed rather a lack of. Left rather unclear about how to return car. The full to full deposit seemed punative with 147 Euro if not returned full. Seems blatant profiteering. The car had many scratches, apparently normal. But gave unnecessary hassle at start taking pictures and video at commencement of hire. Something probably would have do

Pros: Quick drop off

Cons: Car not on site despite an email confirming it was. Poor attitude of counter staff

Pros: Ease of booking, access, etc

Cons: Car had minor scratches all over the body but photos taken at time covered us, as they did for the inside. Inside was unvacuumed, some litter left in boot. Foot marks on rear of seats. Not too bad but I thought rentals were cleaner. No quibbles on return though which is good. We returned in better state than given.

Pros: Pleasant and helpful counter staff, no fuss, good value.

Cons: All rental cars are a short bus ride away which means you have to factor in extra time for drop off.

Pros: Very efficient and friendly at the desk

Cons: Spent a long time waiting on a pre-ordered booster seat, rented a 7 seater and the back seats had not been set up, my family had to sit with the boot cover across their legs as there is nowhere to put it once the back seats are up and there was nobody available to talk to about this.

Pros: They were very efficient and very friendly

Cons: N/A

Pros: Speed of pickup and drop off process . I must make a special thank you to Sean the shuttle man who helped me recover my wallet from the returned car. After discovering this only at the airport. Thank you to the supervisor on duty who also helped locate the car .

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Fairly quick and efficient

Cons: Car had one rear belt missing. I would have liked to extend the booking but the price quoted was far too high.

Pros: Service was fast and efficient.

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Quick, easy, and flexible when we were early due to the flight

Cons: Car engine felt rough considering its age. Was concerned about it for a while.

Pros: Everyone was friendly,

Cons: Took a while to “find” our keys. They were probably still cleaning the car when we turned up, understandable - just tell the truth and we will wait

Pros: The staff were so helpful and nice . The car was clean and nice. Collecting ans dropping the car off was simple and stress free perfect !!

Cons: Nothing bad to mention

Pros: Terminal collection and drop off.

Cons: Contradictory automated information about drop of locations. I had paid for terminal drop off, but was sent an email advising of location and shuttle bus service.

Cons: The irrational prices during the booking process, we tend to book well in advance and at the point the prices were 3 to 4 times the prices we actually paid, at that point we were considering buying a car specially for this trip. Picking up the car, I felt the agent was rushing us away when we still had questions.

Pros: Fast efficient and the car was in the airport

Pros: Services was quick and efficient. Car was located in Dublin T2 car park so no shuttle bus needed.

Cons: Location in Dublin T2 car park was difficult to find to return vehicle. Location was dark.

Pros: The rental desk staff was very friendly and helpful

Cons: The instructions for dropping the car back were lacking in detail and I ended up in the departures drop off zone of Terminal 2 . I had to do another circuit to find the right lane to get to the drop off point

Pros: Terminal desk without the need to take a van to the usual collection point.

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Quick Pickup, no hidden fees upon collection, pain-free drop off

Cons: N/A
