The car gave us freedom to explore different locations at our own pace. We saw beautiful small towns and tried a variety of the local food. We moved accommodation twice during the rental and it was very handy to have a car with a big trunk to fit all the luggage. We were travelling in Mexico and traffic conditions were quite challenging for us. Road signage is limited. Most vehicles ,including of coaches and trucks, drive above the speed limit on motorways and it felt dangerous to be the slowest driver on the road at times while trying to stay within the road speed limit. We saw accidents with fatalities on the road. I would not drive in Mexico again.
