We’ve tried many good restaurants,in French and Dutch sides,(Mezza-Luna, Cottage,BZH,Tap and Still,Lagoonies,Anse-Marcel Beach Restaurant,and so many others; !The beaches were clean with white sand,going to the Parrot-farm was cool!Going to Maho to see the planes landing is really impressive 😁

Beaches on St Maarten are fantastic, but it is very difficult to find parking on the Dutch side. The French side is much more accessible and open to the general public, not just the resorts on the beach. My son did the Flying Dutchman Zip Line and it was amazing. Our favorite restaurant was the Oasis Restaurant & Pizzeria on rue de l'escale . It is a bit out of the way and you should call to make reservations, but it was AMAZING! So is the little grocery store / bakery the Bread & Butter next to the restaurant. We stayed at the Vista Al Puerto condos / time share and I do NOT recommend staying there. The villa's are okay, but the location is terrible and takes forever to drive anywhere from there and there are packs of wild dogs roaming the area that are very noisy and mean and scary. Also lots of wild roosters and chickens in the area. No amenities except a small pool.
