Pros: Gave us a newer vehicle

Cons: Waited 1 hour for pickup at airport. Finally walked to location. When I asked why no shuttle or vehicle to pick us up I was told there was to much traffic. When I asked why no one advised us they shrugged. They said everybody else found it. I said I would have walked had I been told prior to arriving or on m booking. Meanwhile staff were sitting out front of the location. We saw other shuttles at the airport 3 or 4 times while we waited. This was the worst arrival to pick up a rental!!

Cons: All companies had pick up signs at the airport but not AutoUnion. No shuttle to be found and no Whatsapp number to call. I asked another car company to call AutoUnion for pick up.

Pros: That car was new and clean

Cons: The communication with Auto Union was quite poor, I texted and called several times due to a modification in in flight but they never answered back. When I arrived at the airport, nobody was expecting me and another company called them to pick me up. They were not very friendly at my arrival. My advice: take photos of all the car, I left the car today and the didn’t have the notes of the previous scratches. They block your credit card with a deposit of 800 USD!

Cons: Dopo quasi un'ora di attesa fuori dall'aeroporto al caldo siamo andati a piedi noi da loro. Ci hanno fornito una auto danneggiata lato posteriore a sx sul faro. Al.momento.della.restituzione non c'era nessuno. Al telefono non hanno risposto. Ci siamo rivolti ad un noleggiatore vicino che ha trattenuto le chiavi e gentilmente ci ha riaccompagnato all'aeroporto. Pessima esperienza. Spero che non abbiano nulla da dire

Pros: I NEVER GOT THE CAR I PAID FOR. No one ever came to meet us to deliver the car. After a few calls we were given different excuses. We were left stranded at the airport. I am back home now and I still waiting for my full refund! We rented from another car rental co which was times less what I paid Discover. They have not yet refund me my money, despite several emails - Horrific way to start a vacation. Worst experience I have ever had in all my years of travel- I rate them less than a Zero.

Pros: Once we were picked up, the agent worked quickly and had good customer service. The car was in good condition.

Cons: When we arrived at the airport most of the other rental car services had agents at the airport waiting to pick up their customers. There was no AU agent at the airport and the phone number provided in the confirmation did not work. Two of the other rental agency reps called the rep directly and after that he arrived in 15 minutes. When we came to drop off the car, the agency was gated and there was no one present indoors even though it was within business hours.

Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 21 years.
A Young driver fee is not applied.

Maximum rental age is 70 years.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 2 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

Driver licenses will be accepted if issued in the following country(ies): United Kingdom, EU.
Driver licenses from all other countries must be accompanied with International Driving Permit (IDP).
A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if it is accompanied by a regular driver's license, is issued by an official authority or government-authorized organization, and is in physical (not digital) form.

In order to pick up the car, the following documents are required: passport, valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, booking voucher.
Deposit and deductible policy

Payment policy
At time of pick up, customers will be required to pay the amount of the rental and a deposit.
It is possible to pay and leave the deposit only with the following payment methods: MasterCard credit card, VISA credit card, American Express credit card.

The main driver must provide a physical payment card in their name with enough funds to cover the deposit to pick up the car. The rental company will neither accept virtual credit cards (e.g., GooglePay or ApplePay) nor someone else’s card (including family members).
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: GPS Navigation system, Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age), Snow chains.
Prices for extras are shown on the booking page.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.

The first additional driver is allowed free of charge.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Business hours
Service outside of business hours is available by request and for an additional charge.
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 120 minutes.
