TopCar at La Palma Airport

Pros: Fairly straightforward.

Cons: We had expected a Citroen C3 or similar but received a Golf which was ok but was very close to the ground.

Cons: car was not clean. windows dirty like hell. couldn't see anything at night

Cons: The condition of the car was very bad: The tires were in very bad condition. The remote control in the key was hardly working. One of the warning LEDs in the control ignited. The car had scratches all over. The contract of the previous user was still inside the car :)

Cons: Didn't get the brand of car I ordered

Pros: We've used them many times and have never had any issues

Cons: Them being Multilingual helps as I have very very little spanish

Pros: Very helpful, had to delay our pick up, no issues in doing this. Car worked great, was clean and no concerns.

Cons: Would have preferred full to full petrol compared to 6/8 to 6/8 but no big deal. Car was quite dented and scratched but worked fine.

Cons: Top Gun have physically charged my account for the 700 euro deposit & although they have already refunded me, which is great, because of the different exchange rate I have ended up circa £4 down. Why have they done this? all other hire companies I have dealt without exceptionally do not. They swipe your card for the deposit but don’t physically charge your account.

Pros: Wiber provided our hire car and it was a fantastic price, good instructions on where to find the shuttle, good queueing system when waiting to be seen, nice offices and waiting area, great car, quick to process once seen. Very easy to drop off, refund came quickly of the deposit and fuel and shuttle was ready to take us back to the terminal. Excellent all round and will use again

Cons: The car is 2 years old but; the body is scratched and dented. The car knocks while driving and squeaks.

Cons: The car paperwork showed some damage to the car. I was informed i would need to take photos if any more damage - there was a lot more damage than on the form, it was dirty inside and out - obviously not checked before being re hired. Not the quality of reviews I had seen - is this because booked through an agent?

Pros: We were asked on picking up car to check the exterior for marks and take photographs and What’s app them into the company. We did this bit the photographs would not send. We tried several times via text and what’s app. On contacting head office we could only fill in a form. No one got back to us. The office was closed Friday evening- Monday am. Tried phoning local office several times. No one picked up!!! I’m not sure what would have happened if we’d had a major problem. Staff not helpful

Cons: Extremely slow check in. Gave us a large van instead of a small car which we had to exchange. Had to send pictures of any damage found to them by text with no idea of what was relevant. Car was 1/2 full of fuel.

Cons: Can was very poorly maintained. Brakes shuddered and wipers gone. Old car. Agent also takes 700 euros from account (not block but takes out). Return they don’t want to check the car. Would not recommend again.

Cons: AVOID TOP CAR - read important notice: Excess deposit is NOT blocked on credit card but CHARGED, what means, if your currency is not EUR, you pay exchange rate (buy x sell) when they charge it and when return. MOST 99% of car rentals are blocking amount on credit card but TOP CAR is charging it! If your currenty is not the same as car rental then AVOID TO USE TOP CAR! For my 4 days car rental which cost was 88EUR I paid for exchange rate 40EUR additionally so it was super expensive rental! :(

Cons: I didn’t like that car was not properly checked for damages before picking up. That added up to time spent at pick up. They have an alternative solution for that, that customer checks and send an video to whatsapp, although having experience from broad variety of car rental companies it sometimes does nit work out properly, so asked the staff to fix it before pick up.

Cons: To pay a deposit by creditcard even if the car is fully ensured. Good thing is that the deposit was paid back immediately at the end of the rental period.

Pros: They probably trust people but this has some negatives.

Cons: As a careful person to prevent any issues I'm doing first check for damages. The car has (with only about 7000km) many of them unlisted. So it takes some time to prevent any issues when dropping car back (as some non fair companies are accusing customers for damages that were already at the time of rental). To my big confusion there was like zero check when dropping car back. At TOPCAR they are "friendly and easy" but unfortunately customers are not taking enough care and make damages.

Cons: selection of location on the webpage should be more specific as to which country or island. My mistake but not easy to resolve as Top Car said it wasnt them and was not able to phone Discover Cars on arrivcal in Mallorca ( Palma) . My 114 euro loss !

Pros: It was a very quick and easy pick up and drop off. No attempt to pressure us to buy additional cover. All the information we needed was provided and the staff were friendly and helpful

Cons: Det tog alt for lang tid at få udleveret og underskrevne papirerne til udlevering af bilen. Mange af oplysningerne var givet på forhånd. Vi har Platinium Mastercard så det var det eneste sammen kørekort det var nødvendigt at registrere. Der var 3 foran os i køen og det tog ca. 1/2 time. Der var ikke kø ved de andre udlejere og køen til Topcars var laaang så det siger noget om at I er populære.

Cons: I have to pay for the fuel. I have to pay the full tank, and when i drop the car i didn´t use all the fuel they give back the money.

Pros: The rental desk representative at the airport was professional and helpful. On the road we had a question and we were able to reach a representative by phone immediately, who addressed our issue.

Cons: The price was right; the rental process easy; the service was good. The only snag was with the GPS. We requested a GPS at the rental desk and were charged 18 Euros for a "Ton Ton" model who came with no instructions. I though I would be able to figure it out but that was not the case. In addition the suction cup would not work either. Bottom line: I paid for something I could not use. This was not the fault of the representative at all. She just provided what the company had.
