Pros: The car was clean.

Cons: Everything. Appalling customer service. No follow up from anyone about the 'damage'. I feel this whole experience was nothing but a scam. No proof that the scratch on the windshield wasn't there before. Just the bill. Absolutely horrible experience.

Pros: Had to buy full insurance for the car, would not let me leave with the car with the Discovery insurance.. Did not get the car model or size that I paid for. Took 9 » minutes to pick up the car. One of the wurst experiences of my life, during my travels and feel that I got totally robbed by yiour company.

Pros: Good process for documenting condition of car

Cons: Check in was good and reasonable and then I waited another hour for them to bring the car out. Staff at car pick up did not understand English and were dealing with five different company cars. I finally had to get the counter agent to expedite bringing my car out. A waste of my time and money.

Pros: It took nearly two hours to get the car, from airport pick up to paperwork to car inspection to negotiating a new car. During the final car inspection we pointed out multiple dents/paint chips to the rental car agent but they said “don’t worry about the small things.” But when we returned the car they listed those existing spots as new damage we caused. Also, the keyless car key they gave us was low on battery so we had to go into their office in a different town to get it replaced.

Cons: The car was nice and in the end Thrifty upgraded our car to meet the expectations we had based on the type of car that Discover Cars said we rented.

Rate includes
Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: ~€ 705.00), Theft Protection, Third Party Liability (TPL), Airport surcharge, Vehicle registration fee, Free modifications, State Tax.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 18 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 25.

There is no maximum age.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.

In order to pick up the car, the following documents are required: passport, valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, booking voucher, return flight ticket.
Deposit and deductible policy
A deposit will be blocked on the customer's credit card until the end of the rental period.
The exact deposit is determined on pick up since the amount is dependent on the type of vehicle.
Payment policy
At time of pick up, customers will be required to pay the amount of the rental and a deposit.
It is possible to pay and leave the deposit only with the following payment methods: MasterCard credit card, VISA credit card, American Express credit card.
Only cards issued in the main driver's name are accepted.

The main driver must provide a physical payment card in their name with enough funds to cover the deposit to pick up the car. The rental company will neither accept virtual credit cards (e.g., GooglePay or ApplePay) nor someone else’s card (including family members).
Cross-border policy
Cross border rentals are allowed only upon previous request.
Crossing country borders is allowed to the following country: USA.
Using a ferry is allowed on the previous request and for an additional charge with special permission from the car rental company.
Information on the exact fee amount is available by request.

In the event that Cross Border & Territorial Restrictions are violated, all protections lose their validity.
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: GPS Navigation system, Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age).

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.

Certain additional drivers are subject to both an Additional Driver fee as well as either a Young Driver or Senior Driver fee.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Rental period
The maximum rental period per agreement is 30 days.
If the renter would like to extend the rental period, renter should return to the car hire office at the end of the rental period to sign a new agreement.
Business hours
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 59 minutes.
