Ross Rental Cars at Willemstad Hato Airport

Pros: Loved the service at Ross car rental. They were all very kind! And it went all very smoothly!

Cons: The deposit took 3 weeks to be released back on my card. The car itself was a bit of an older model. Definitely didn’t come with any extras. I would say if you’re renting here. Don’t go for the cheaper cars. Maybe there other cars are a bit more new models that come with extra’s like back view camera etc..

Pros: Polite and quick.

Cons: Need a better and Ross-specific sign at Curacao Airport of where to wait for the shuttle vehicle.

Pros: Friendly staff who took great care of our family. Our daughter is diabetic, staff provided ice for her meds, and were very kind with my wife who was upset due to airline losing our luggage.

Cons: No negatives to report. We will definitely rent from Ross on our next visit.

Cons: Agent was in a grump mood when dropped off car.

Pros: We texted when we arrived at the airport and the shuttle picked us up within 5 minutes. We had everything signed and were on the road very quickly.

Pros: Friendly service and easy pick up / drop off. They went above and beyond by reopening the rental bc I forgot passports at our Air BNB...thanks so much!!

Pros: Fue imposible poder hablar con alguien responsable. Avísanos que no podíamos viajar a Curazao por un tema de fuerza mayor. Pedimos si nos podían reembolsar lo que habíamos pagado y nos dijeron que lo teníamos que resolver desde la web. No encontramos nada que nos indique la forma de dar de baja el alquiler dentro de la web. Por lo tanto no recibimos el reembolso.

Cons: Cost was steep although comparable to all other rental providers.

Pros: Was very grateful when they came out to us to replace the key which was signalling “low battery”. Also the drop off was amazingly quick and we appreciated the immediate ride back to the airport.

Pros: The truck was a bit beat up but the lady said it was due to the military men having it just before we rented it. The time we spent going over the vehicle and making notes of exiting damage was lengthy.

Cons: Friendly service - one person was dedicated to the communitcation w me prior to and during pick up so I didn't stand around waiting on someone.

Cons: O carro disponibilizado já tinha mais de 10 anos de uso e com mais de 100 mil km rodados. Portanto, não tinham coisas básicas como bluetoth, airbag ... e o mesmo estava com sinais aparentes de muito uso, como banco furado, forros e borrachas soltando etc. Necessário renovar a frota de carros. Viajo e alugo carros todos os anos e este foi o pior carro que aluguei nos últimos 20 anos.

Cons: The vehicle was great for our needs (minivan - group of 5) however on our very last day the sliding back door popped off the track when shutting the door and we couldn’t fix it so this was nerve wracking but the staff fixed it right away and there was no problem.

Cons: The original car offered was in poor condition visually and I was also unable to see over the dashboard. I asked for another and they said they didn’t have another. I even offered to upgrade but still they didn’t have one. They asked that I wait inside for assistance to return the vehicle. While in line they said they had another in the same class. It looked like even worse than the first but I was able to see over the dashboard so we accepted it. Sure wouldn’t want anyone I knew to see me!

Pros: The lady on the front end picking us up was very nice and great.

Cons: The lazy gentleman during the drop off should get some additional training. I told the person on the front end when we rented the car that we would return it between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. We dropped it off at 8:02. He complained. He did not want to unload the luggage into the van to take us to the airport. He followed us there with another employee. He did not help with the luggage. He complained that we had too much sand in the vehicle and that we would not do this to our own vehicle.

Pros: The service was impeccable. Staff was friendly and prompt to pick up and drop off and offered great service.

Cons: As I mentioned the staff was wonderful however the vehicle was older and in need of a tune up. made a lot of funny noises and didn't seem to run well particularly when climbing the many hills in Curacao. The breaks squeaked terribly, the tires were older and we ended up getting a flat tire.

Pros: Very efficient pick-up with the car that was about to be rented. This way there was no luggage needed to be transfered from one car into the other etc.

Cons: As mentioned: (i) I ordered a VW Tiguan and received a Hyundai Tucson; (ii) I needed to provide a credit card deposit whilst I paid significant extra insurance for full coverage and waivers. So there's a mismatch between DC and Ross Rentals perhaps?

Cons: Cars condition was fully looked over before we got it. This shouldn't be necessary since we had full insurance.

Pros: Location was very close to airport. Staff was all extremely friendly. Car class and cleanliness was excellent!

Cons: Low tire pressure light came on during rental (more convenient to find tire shop myself to check tire pressure - they confirmed tire pressure ok), and vehicle service overdue reminder came on every time we started the car. Regular maintenance of vehicles is questionable.

Pros: Ross rental empolyees were kind. Ross rental opened earlier for us on easter sunday. They pick up us when we arrived very fast.

Pros: They were very conveniently close to the airport and were prepared to pick us up and get us into our car with minimal hassle.

Pros: Price was pretty good. Car was sufficient for what we needed. Once we were at the office, pick up, and drop off when we were departing for home, was quick and efficient.

Cons: Pick up by shuttle was disappointing. We found where we were to be picked up easily. However, with past rentals with Hertz, Avis, or whoever, we always got shuttles coming regularly to pick us up, and we thought this was the case here. We found out, after much waiting, that we were to contact Ross Cars on Whatsapp, that we were here. We were not aware of this, and also not aware Ross Cars was even on Whatsapp. There was no wifi at pickup spot, so we had to walk back to airport terminal.

Cons: Employees were unkind, seemed bored, unwilling, were almost rude. Acted like they were making us a favor and not as clients who chose them over competitors.

Pros: Upon returning the car, the shuffle service from the rental office to the airport was prompt.

Cons: The waiting time at the airport for the shuffle service upon arrival, another rental company volunteered to call Ross on my behave. I was allow to inspect the car alone, as opposed to the CSR presence. They seemed short-staffed. The car had a dirty windscreen, particles of sand on the carpet and seats as well as a few dents and missing accessories on both the front and rear dumper. Only a few days later, I discovered that the rear left tire was defective/flat. The tire was patched before.

Cons: Car smelled like fish, not very clean when we picked it up. The tank was not full, actually it was just above a quarter full tank - so we had to gas up within a day or so. Although the tank was not half tank full the agent assisting me with the rental car noted that the tank was half full - I corrected her and also took a picture of the quarter full tank. No shuttle at airport, difficult to find the pick up spot - luckily another rental company’s shuttle driver was kind enough to offer us a ride

Pros: Ross picked us up at the airport after a call because the flight was delayed. Ross was located very close to the airport (walking distance). When returning the car they dropped us of directly in front of the airport hall which was appreciated.

Cons: Despite the efficient air-conditioning, the type of car is not one suitable to most of the roads in and around Willemstad, as it is grossly underpowered.

Pros: The car was in perfect condition. Intelligent stuff which provide you very useful information and makes the stay on the island easy and pleasant.

Pros: It was a quick little car - rode very well. We asked, if they could store our luggage on the last day for 4 hours, before we had to return the car, as luggage couldn't be hidden in the trunk, and they accepted. That was very kind of them.

Cons: Cleanliness of the car, winshields very dirty at pick up when it was already dark. Pick up was not clear. We have warned Ross that the flight was delayed but staff didn't know and didn't show up at delayed time of arrival.
